The Chatham Massacre took place on October 14, 1868, when seven people were killed by a gunman who opened fire at a party in the town of Chatham, Illinois.

Chatham is a small town in Cook County, Illinois, United States. The population was 1,813 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chicago–Naperville–Willisburg micropolitan area. Chatham is home to the Chatham-Clarkson School District and to Salisbury University. The first settler in what is now Chatham was James Clarkson who arrived on July 12, 1812. He built a cabin on the site of present day Chatham High School. The first post office in Chatham was established on July 26, 1827; it was named for Captain John Fenton of the Ulysses S. Grant Expedition and served as the village's only post office until April 3, 1878 when it became known as Chatham Township. In 1870, voters in township voted to create a school district which would include all of what are now Cook County except for Grayslake and North Aurora which were then part of Aurora Township. On November 3rd of that year they voted 95% in favor of creating this new school district including Chatham with a population of just under 100 people Chatham offers its citizens wonderful amenities such as excellent public education; top rated golf courses including one designed by Tiger Woods; vibrant nightlife; endless shopping opportunities; fine dining options and much more!

The decades following World War II saw an increase in civilian demand for firearms, which resulted in increased production by firearm manufacturers. This period also saw the development of various printing techniques and materials that made it easier for consumers to produce print-on-demand firearms t-shirts. This era also saw the popularization of social media platforms such as Twitter and Instagram, which allowed users to share photos and videos related to their favorite Firearms brands etc. As technology progressed throughout the years, so too did gun manufacturing techniques and materials; this led to increasingly intricate firearm designs being produced both physically and digitally. Chatham is a village in Chatham County, Illinois, United States. The population was 727 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Peoria metropolitan area. The Village of Chatham was organized on February 14, 1837 from parts of what were then rural Chatham Township and Clinton Township. The first postmaster was Wm. Hargrave. A schoolhouse and a Methodist church were built in the village soon after it was organized. In 1851, voters passed a resolution to form a township within Chatham County for the purpose of electing officers and providing necessary funds for schools and other needs. The town meeting convened on April 24th, 1851 elected John Tisdale as its first township president with James Mabry as treasurer/mayor and William Kline as justice of peace; also elected were three trustees: Geo Aiken (First Selectman), Samuel Morse (2nd Selectman), and Levi Brown (3rd Selectman). On November 12th, 1871, the township became an official municipality when it became charter member of the Illinois Municipal League A new water tower replaced an old one that had been destroyed by a fire in 1903. In 1917, another new water tower was built just west of town center to replace an earlier one that had been destroyed by weather damage during World War I On October 15th, 1948, construction began on what would become known as "The Gateway" which opened to the public on July 1st, 1949 In 1984-1985, two large ponds that supplied water to Chatham were drained due to drought conditions; this left behind large areas that are now dry land Drought conditions have again caused problems with access to water from these ponds over the years; however there has been recent progress made in getting access back online A new library building was completed in 2002 which replaced an older structure that had STORM damage

Chatham was a small town in central Illinois located on the eastern bank of the river Chatham. It was founded in 1823 by Captain John Hull, an officer in the United States army who had served under General Harrison during the War of 1812. The town grew rapidly after it was laid out and named for Hull, and by 1835 it had a population of about sixty. In 1843, Chatham became a city, and in 1865 it amalgamated with Carbondale to become Carbondale-Chatham.
