One way that these people obtained firearms was through buying them from Indian traders. In addition, some men in Buffalo Grove started making their own pistols out of wood or metal. Gun slings were a popular means of transportation during the early days of America. They were easy and quick to make, and could be used for a variety of purposes such as carrying ammunition, fishing gear, or simply as a form of protection against Indians or other predators. The first shotgun made specifically for handguns was developed in Buffalo Grove by George Millington in 1875. The design consisted of a barrel with an octagon chamber that accept rounds shot from an open muzzle-loader or rifle. This shotgun was very successful and became known as the “Mills Patent Shotgun”. In 1901, John Deere introduced the first tractor with a self-propelled armament system called the “Deere Self-Propelled Guncarriage” which featured four machine guns on either side of the vehicle. For many years after World War II ended hostilities between NATO allies Russia and West Germany over satellite imagery rights disputed by both countries', much agricultural production in southern Illinois took place on lands now belonging to Michigan State University's Veterinary School adjacent to what was once rural farmland near Rochester Hills; today this land is home to four MSU campuses: East Lansing (Rochester Hills), Farmington Hills (East Lansing/Farmington Heights), Livonia (Livonia Township) and Dearborn Heights (Dearborn Heights Township). One important industry that thrived along with agriculture here during those years was manufacturing; several local companies made radios, typewriters,lightsbulbs etc., some still active today including Hausfeld Electric Company which makes components for televisions and other electronic equipment

Buffalo Grove is a town in Kane County, Illinois, United States. The population was 5,521 at the 2010 census. Buffalo Grove is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. It is home to the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. The first settler in what would become Buffalo Grove was John Fitzpatrick in 1836. He built a cabin on the east side of US-31 near present-day Kildare Street and founded Fitzpatrickville. In 1839, Fitzpatrick's brother-in-law James McMahon established another small community called Canandaigua on land that now forms part of Buffalo Grove. Canandaigua was named after one of Reverend John Morse's daughters who had married McMahon. In 1853, following the American Civil War, Buffalo Grove became part of the newly created Kane County when it wassplit off from Cook County. The townsite was surveyed by George Stephenson and marked by an iron plowshare with a white stripe running down its length; this feature remains visible today on Main Street in buffalo grove. The name "Buffalo Grove" (a corruption of "Canandaigua") originated with James McMahon's suggestion that it be anglicized to "Canningdale". At first, much effort went into getting businesses started in what would become Buffalo Grove: flour mills were erected early on (the first being built by Mr. & Mrs.(now Mrs.) Mather), while sawmills soon followed suit and grist mills also opened up shortly thereafter - making this one of the most business-friendly areas in Kane County! It wasn't until 1870 when railroads became available through Illinois that more businesses got involved in town - resulting in larger homes becoming popular among residents as well as later developers looking to capitalize on new transportation opportunities! Today, there are many local landmarks which contribute to Buffalo Grove’s unique character – such as The Gilded Age House Museum (owned and operated by members of the Moran family since 1907), downtown’s “First Lady District” which features period architecture from several different periods including two extant 19th century hotels dating back to before prohibition – as well as nearly 20 years worth of vinyl records preserved inside closed maintains at Northwestern University’s Rare Record Library!
