In 1902, Bridgeview became one of many towns in Cook County when it was merged with neighboring Englewood into one municipality called Englewood-Bridgeview Township. Bridgeview is a small town in the northwest corner of Illinois, about 25 miles (40 km) north of Chicago. The population was 1,824 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Chicago metropolitan area.
