Bradley, Illinois is a small town located in the southwestern corner of Cook County, Illinois. The population was 7,711 at the 2010 census. Bradley was named for General George Bradley and his brigade which fought in the American Civil War. The town was originally settled by Quakers who fled to England during the English Revolution. Bradley is home to one of the oldest libraries in Illinois and also has a post office which opened on July 1, 1836. The first store in Bradley was founded by John Witherspoon and his wife Deborah on October 24, 1837. A post office called Bradley was established in 1838 and remained in operation until it closed on November 15, 1893. In 1865, a railroad depot was built at Bradley and served as its final stop before arriving at Marshalltown, Iowa. The town incorporated as a village on December 12, 1896. The current elementary school building was completed in 1959 and serves as the only remaining structure from whenBradley consisted of just six houses. The high school building opened in 1966 and became known as “The House that Jack Built” after then-Mayor Jack Kemp who helped finance its construction. The house now serves as the headquarters for local government services including city hall and courtrooms while also housing many of the town's historical artifacts

One of the earliest gun flashes was created by John Brown in 1836 when he designed a hand-held flare gun that used an oxygen gas torch to create a bright light effect similar to what we see today with some modern firearms flashlights (see photo below). This early version of a handgun flashlight was called the Pistol Flashlight ( later renamed Pistol Grip). The first handguns were made with simple designs that allowed users to shoot flares without having to hold their firearm so they became known as "gun slingers." As handguns evolved over time they began incorporating other features into their design which led to various pistols including pistols using electric light sources as well as muzzleloaders and shotguns that could fire explosive rounds with electricity instead of ammunition. One such pistol was developed by George Washington Carver who used an armillary converter device to create an electric dischargegun that could fire projectiles with energy from a small hole in the center where the powder charge would be placed (see photo below). It should be noted that this type of electric pistol didn't become common until after World War II when new technology improved firearms making them much easier and safer to operate than earlier designs

The community quickly became an important stopping point on the Underground Railroad, helping fugitives escape slavery. In 1834, the town surrendered to United States forces during the Second Uprising and became part of the new Indiana Territory. AfterIndian Wars ended in 1865, Bradley continued to thrive as a manufacturing center. In 1927, it was renamed after General George S. Patton, Jr., one of World War II’s most famous generals. Today, Bradley is a historic district with several interesting buildings and attractions that offer insights into its past.
