Weapon flashlights have been around since the early 1800s. Some of the earliest firearms that used lighted pointers were designed to shoot arrows, and these devices had a light attached to the end of a stick or staff. By 1885, rifle sights were standard on many firearms, and handguns began using rings or discs on the grip to indicate where the muzzle was. In 1892, British inventor George Stephenson invented an oil lantern that could be used as a weapon flashlight. This device consisted of an open flame at one end and a Globus-shaped reflector at the other; it could be held in either hand for illumination. In 1898, Swiss engineer Hugo Eckert developed what is now known as the Heckler & Koch P2000 pistol Flashlight; this weapon flashlight was designed to use two 7mm rounds which fired through a threaded barrel to fire fixed exposures of up to 100 seconds each (1 minute per shot). It also featured an adjustable tailcap that allowed it to be aimed while handheld. The first assault rifles were fielded in World War I with French designs and First Class Pistols such as 9millimeter Lebel automatic pistols chambered for high-power 5mm rounds (7x57mm Rheinmetall) had already been fielded by 1915 when American Colt pistols began being issued with 6 round magazines chambered for .45 ACP rounds (6x19mm Luger). As Assault Weapons became more common during WWI they started being phased out in favor of Carbine/Cache type weapons like Thompson Submachine Guns (using 10round magazine), machine guns like M1 Garand, BARs etc.. all sporting 20 round magazines by 1945 when Americans stopped fielding combat arms

Bourbonnais, Illinois was founded in 1821 by James K. Bourke and Daniel Duhigg. The town was named for the bourbon Distillery located in nearby Kentucky. In 1875, the Bourke-Duhigg Distillery closed due to financial troubles. However, it reopened in 1893 as the First National Bank of Bourbonnais. The bank merged with the United States National Bank of Chicago in 1907 and became part of the Chase National Bank. In 1960, the First National Bank of Bourbonnais merged with Citizens State Bank to form Citizens State Bankshares Incorporated. In 1984, Citizens State Bankshares Incorporated merged with First American Financial Corporation to become First AmericanBank Corporation. On October 2nd, 1987, First AmericanBank Corporation changed its name to Citigroup Incorporated and on December 12th, 2007 Citigroup Incorporated changed its name back to Citizens State Bankshares Incorporated again!
Bourbonnais Township, in Cook County, Illinois, is a small community of about 1,500 residents located mostly on the eastern edge of the city of Chicago. Bourbonnais was platted on November 11, 1836 by General James K. Polk as part of a plan to make way for new settlers in what would become the Chicago area. The town was named for Henry Bourbons (1784-1857), an early settler and president of the village of Bourbonnais near Quincy, Illinois. The first post office in Bourbonnais was established in 1837; it closed operations in 1865. The current post office was opened in 1917. The township has one school: the John W. Buchanan School District #3 which serves students from pre-Kindergarten through eighth grade. Bourbonnais is home to two churches: First Baptist Church and Christ United MethodistChurch. The local winery, La Riviere Vineyards & Spirits LLC., produces bourbon whiskey and other spirits such as sparkling wine and vermouths under the name La Riviere bourbons LLC.; it also sells gift items made with bourbons such as wine corkscrews and honeymooners' luggage tags bearing their favorite recipes or places they have visited while vacationing in France or Italy.

Bourbonnais is a small town in Cook County, Illinois, United States. The population was 2,262 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Bourbonnais Township. The town of Bourbonnais was organized on February 14, 1871 from part of the village of Mokena. At its peak in 1907 it had a population of 1,814 people and was considered to be one of the most affluent villages in Cook County. However, with the arrival of prohibition in 1919 Bourbonnais saw a decline in its population which reached 1,236 by 1940. In 1970 it had only 141 residents remaining and declined again until 2000 when it averaged 181 residents per year. Today Bourbonnais consists mostly of single-family homes and businesses along Main Street which are among the most diverse in Cook County. The local restaurant scene has also diversified with several new restaurants opening over the past few years including The Gilded Cage BBQ & Grill (opened in 2006), Beasley's Brewery (opened in 2007), and IHOP on State Street (opened in 2012). These restaurants have helped to revive bourbonNAIS culinary scene as well as help to attract tourists who may not otherwise visit this rural community located just south of Chicago off I-55 near Highway 31st Avenue South. Bourbonnais was founded by two families: Samuel French’s family started out farming land east of Mokena and migrants from Kentucky settled there after being driven out by Indians during the American Civil War; while Joseph French opened a general store on what is now Main Street around 1860; both families ran their stores until 1862 when they merged into one business under French’s son Joseph II. 1
