Bolingbrook is a town in Cook County, Illinois, United States. The population was 23,816 at the 2010 census. After the war ended, many people left bolingbrook until they were replaced by new arrivals during the late 1950s through early 1960s when Bolingbrook experienced rapid growth with some 7% annual growth between 1961 and 1970; however this stopped after 1971 when there were no major industry expansions or new housing developments built since then save for one large project near Interstate 95 known as "The Hills" which has now been largely abandoned following a fire that destroyed most of their buildings in 2000 Today, Boling Brook falls within Rahway Township but has its own police department as well as public schools (K-12) running through Balboa Elementary School until school closings take place at 12:30 p.m., followed by Stonington Middle School until 3:00 p.m., before ending up at Baldwin Intermediate School where students are again expected to arrive before 3:00 p.m..
