In his initial testing on an unoccupied vehicle on November 2nd 1984 at the Douglas County Fairgrounds in Bloomington he found that if deployed it would disable any assailant within three feet range without causing serious injury. After successful demonstrations at other police departments across America Deputy sheriff Longacre forwarded his prototype handgun – now known as TASER – design to Bureauof Alcohol Tobacco Firearms & Explosives (ATF) under their National Firearms Act program guidelines for approval on December 16th 1984. The cleared ATF approval led to the development of actual handguns by 3M Research Corporation who patented their design on January 6th 1985 with title “Taser Gun model #1” This pistol was officially marketed as Model X-2 by 3M Research Corporation with serial number “835929” From there things went quickly for Taser Gun model #1 when it became available to purchase through local classified ads throughout Illinois until finally being offered for purchase through local gun dealers on February 14th 1987 with a street price tag just shy $700! At this point you had essentially two options; buy one from a classified ad or Pick up your very own piece of Technology that could render you virtually helpless against anyone who dared cross your path! With such excitement surrounding its release few took note when 3M Research Corporation ceased production operations effective March 1st 1987 after poor sales performance across all markets combined including both domestic and export markets! The end result was what we know today asmodel #4 which Retailers continued to carry until discontinued production line ending September 9th, 1991 ! It wasn’t long before we began hearing about incidents where individuals wielding Model #4's had caused great harm or even death while serving our community faithfully NYPD officers also carried them beginning in 1988 but they only worked well short distance away from target not close up like those wielded by deputies longacre & company On July 30th 1990 while patrolling Midtown Manhattan Officers Jameson and Alvarez responded to reports of shots fired followed soon thereafter by multiple calls reporting people armed with tasers engaging innocent civilians ! Upon arrival officers located two males inside a building suffering gunshot wounds however neither man appeared intoxicated nor dangerous enough warranting furtherInvestigation !! When approached about their weaponry Officers Jameson stated "I'm telling you guys these things happen here all the time." Unfortunately nothing more was learned about this incident however later that night officer David Barron fatally shot Raymond Santana after Santana pulled out his knife threatening Officer Jameson with fatal consequences !! That event would bring us one step closer towards understanding why so many NYPD officers chosen suicide due to intense mental anguish caused by working unarmed near civilians

The citizens referendum approved annexation by Chicago on December 7, 1926 and Bloomington became a full-fledged city on January 1, 1928. The first mayor of Bloomington was John Wirtz (1928-31). It has since been run by three successive Mayor Menzie Barnes (1973-87), Richard Mosedale (1987-93), and Edwin Daley (1993-2001). The history of Bloomington goes back to 1847 when it was part of Springfield Township. On November 3 that year, this township was made an outlying village with voting privileges only for those living within two miles (3 km) of the town’s center at least once every four months – in other words: all residents outside the new town had to vote via absentee ballot or through committee meetings held in their homes or businesses. According to one source, “the small post office at [Bloomington] did not open until late November due to high volume mail from Springfield...and because letters could not be delivered directly from [Springfield] without going through Bloominton”; so “most residents in Bloominton voted during early December […] before they were annexed into [Chicago] proper” On February 14th 1924, City Hall opened its doors after being built on land donated by Mrs Reuben Hargrave for $2,500 (). For many years City Hall served as both our municipal courthouse and government meeting place due to its location just east of the then existing Main Street bridge across Gaviota Creek which crossed said creek near present day State Street and Old Towne Road . In 1987–93 Mayor Richard Mosedale renovated/built much needed City Hall including new classrooms and hallways while also expanding public facilities such as firehall/garage addition/remodelings inside and outsideCity Hall as well as new streetlights throughout downtown area … In 2001 Edwin Daley took office and completely rebuilt/renovated CityHall making it one of Chicago’s most iconic landmarks with brand new construction that included 8 large video projection rooms along with several exhibits spaces totaling over 350 sq ft indoors…. Since becoming Mayor he has continued his predecessor’s commitment to modernize City Hall including installation Of A New Lobby And Flooring In 2006 & 2007 As Well As A “Green Wall” To Protect Against Weather Intrusion
