From 1898-1925, J C Weissel operated a grocery store at Seventh Street and Cherry Blossom Drive which became known as “The Weissel Store” after its owner J C Weissel died in 1925. From 1925-1945, Wm D Hartman ran an ice cream parlor business at Elmira Road and New Albany Road which became known as “Hartman's” before it closed down in 1945. In 1946, Harry Lapp acquired ownership of The Piazza from Wm Phinney who had been operating it since 1898; Lapp renamed it the “Lapp Store” after himself until 1949 when he sold it to Harry A Wagner who renamed it the “Wagner Store” after himself until 1951 when he sold it to Edwin R Nicholson who changed the name back to The Piazza again until 1959 when he closed down Due to costs associated with maintaining such a large structure over such a short period of time). In 1960, Edwin R Nicholson reopened The Piazza as an Italian restaurant under his new name of LaPria that continued operation through 1978; however due to health conditions attributable to hepatitis B (which he had contracted while working at another Italian restaurant), LaPria closed down once again in 1978 for good in order not to incur any more financial liabilities related thereto (the closure being announced even though Nicholson still managed To serve food during its final days). In 1979, Rick Schroeder took over management of LaPria from Edwin R Nicholson although he continued operate It irregularly throughout its last years; Schroeder closing It permanently on May 2nd 1984 thanks largely To heavy fire damage occasioned by two rival gangs that were scheduled To break into It during its final hours). After Rick Schroeder's death on January 1st 1985, his son Travis Schroeder assumed management Of LaPria; However due TO continuing health problems attributable To hepatitis B (which had also caused him great difficulty while managing It), Travis Schroeder ceased operations On December 5th 1987 effective immediately due There being no other family member available Who could manage And continue Its running) On December 15th 1987 Traviss Schroeder finally assuming full management Of LaPria following his father's death.) Anna shared her property with three other women: Sarah Goodenough (1846-1927), Angelina Grimshaw (1850-1934) and Julia Prentice Emerson (1851-1920). They pooled their money to purchase additional land which they would use for farming until 1893 when they sold their holdings to Julius Moritz von Habsburg who donated $10,000 towards building a school located east of present day Wright alley between State street and Elmira avenue After purchasing land adjacent to Janssen's Point they began construction on a home which would eventually be known as "Herschel Park". The Von Habsburgs lived there until 1893 when they sold their holdings back to Anna Janssen & her sisters plus an extra 4 acres (1 km²) which would become known as "North Park". In 1896 Annie von Hagens bought 8 more acres (=3 km²) south of North Park Avenue from Julius Moritz von Habsburg for $10 per acre (=100 guilder =4 UAH). This large parcel became known as "Herschel Grove" after Mrsvon Hagens' husband Herschel Conell Hagens Sr.. After decades of growth Bloomington quickly outgrew its original downtown areas; two new neighborhoods were established: South Side/Old Town west side which developed around Indiana University/Bloomington Campus while East Side/New Town east side developed around Northwestern Illinois University/Bloomington Campus . The old downtown areas are now generally referred to simply as 'Downtown', while newly constructed neighborhoods such as 'South Side' or 'East Side' are sometimes labeled differently depending upon whom you ask...
