TheBerwyn Gun Case Company was started in 1907 by George W. Worth and his brother-in-law, Hiram Hardwick. The company made cases for both handguns and shotguns. In 1912, the Worth brothers merged with the Chicago Armory Company to form the Chicago Arms Manufacturing Company. This company made cases for handguns, rifles, shotguns, and machine guns. In 1925, the company became known as the Berwyn Gun Case Company Ltd., and continued making cases until it ceased operation in 1984. The history of the Berwyn Gun Case Company can be traced back to 1907 when George W. Worth founded the company in Berwyn, Illinois after moving from Cincinnati Ohio where he had worked at several gun companies including Batchelor & Co., John Lisle & Sons (the first American manufacturer of rifle sights), and Monogram Firearms Corporation. The company was initially devoted to making case for handguns only but soon began producing shotgun shells as well. In 1912 they merged with Chicago Armory Company which made handgun cases under their own name while continuing production of rifle sights (John Lisle & Sons) as well as machineguns (Monogram Firearms Corporation). However due to World War I this merger did not go through so in 1925 they changed their name to Berwyn Gun CaseCompany Ltd., retaining manufacturing rights for handguns only before ceasing operations in 1984

In 1871, seven couples united with four families under the leadership of Rev'd Samuel Morse: Isaac Cummings (the father of Alfred Cummings), Sarah Morse (the mother of Samuel Morse), John Aiken (the brother-in-law of Rev'd Samuel Morse), James Prentice (a cousin of Amos Kendall), and David Gurney (a cousin of Ebenezer Gurney).They erected a large frame house on what is now First Street that served as their meeting place until about 1895 when an addition was made to accommodate their many children and grandchildren living there at once. It should be noted that there were several different names given to this house over time because some owners changed them or added other buildings after they had moved into the property or lost possession thereof; such as "Morse House" or "Prentice House". In 1893, Lizzie Beattie purchased Bosworth House fromRevd Samuel Morse's widow and dedicated it as her home while she continued using it as a schoolhouse until her death in 1954. It currently serves as the Community Center forBerwyn Township Ltd., which helps promote cultural activities within Berwyn village despite not having any physical buildings located within its boundaries!

The village name comes from German "Bürg" meaning "town." In 1892, Berwyn became one of five townships within Macomb County when it was created from parts of West Side Township and North Side Township. The Village of Berwyn consolidated with other villages into the City of Chicago on April 20, 1893. In 1912, Mayor John Pritzker proposed that all municipalities within the city be annexed into Berwyn so that it would have its own police department and fire department; however this proposal was not accepted by the village board. On October 11, 1928, two-thirds of residents voted to secede from the city and become an independent municipality known as "Berwyn Heights". On November 5th same year, following a referendum vote held by citizens of both cities combined (the only referendum for which information is available), Berwyn Heights merged with Chicago to form what is now called Chicago Community Park
