From then until around 7000 years ago, only quadrupedal humans were used as a primary means of transportation and communication. However, from 7000 to 4000 BC, bipedal humans started using two-legged carts as an alternative to walking and riding on horses. This led to the development of the wheel and eventually cars. The history of bipedalism is intertwined with human evolution and culture. The first bipedal humans were adaptable and successful in their environment. They utilized a variety of methods for locomotion including running, walking, biking, and even sailing ships. With time though they began to lose dexterity in their hands due to wear and tear from using these methods constantly for long periods of time. As they became more reliant on animals as their primary means of transportation this problem increased. However, due to technology advancements such as agriculture which allowed for more efficient transport systems that could easily handle larger loads this problem decreased slightly over time. Despite some challenges faced by bipedals throughout their history there are many benefits that come with this form of locomotion that have helped humanity thrive both physically and culturally

Some of these creatures were 2-footed creatures that could only move around using their front legs. Others had evolved into beings that could walk on both their front and back legs, allowing them to explore new areas and take advantage of their environment more effectively. Bellwood is a small town in Kane County, Illinois, United States. The population was 2,359 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Bloomington-Normal Metropolitan Statistical Area. The Bellwood community was founded in 1871 by three brothers, Abram, George and David Bell. The town was named for Captain John A. Bell of the Illinois Volunteers during the American Civil War. The first school in Bellwood opened in 1872 and operated from a log cabin on the edge of town. By 1899, there were five schools in the community with a total enrollment of 1,200 students. In 1923, an addition to the original school building provided room for a gymnasium and other facilities that remain today including after-school programs and summer camps for children. In 1967, Bellwood accepted annexation by Bloomington-Normal; however, it reverted back to its original name two years later when Bloomington-Normal renamed itself Normal University District No. 5 within its own city limits (although still under contract with Kane County). Today,Bellwood has one high school: The Belvidere School District #1 which serves grades 8 through 12 and one middle school: Grades 7 through 9 which serves grades 10 through12 as well as several special education programs such as Autism spectrum disorder/Asperger Syndrome classes./ bell wood il

Bellwood, Illinois was founded in 1848 by George and Anna Bell. The Bell family had a log cabin where they started the first grocery store in the area. The town grew rapidly from its small population of around fifty people to over one thousand by 1860. In 1892, the Bellwoods incorporated as a village. The following year, they voted to change their name to Bellwood Township on the grounds that “the township would be more agreeable to our feelings and practices as residents thereof”. By 1913, there were over three hundred residents living in the township of Bellwood with a total of five businesses. In 1916, the township passed a resolution urging statehood for Illinois due to its location at “the junction of two routes leading into central Chicago”. On September 1st of that year, Illinois became a state and Bellwood became part of Cook County.
Bellwood was a small town in Illinois before the turn of the century. It was founded in 1815 as a farmstead on the banks of the DuPage River. The first settler in Bellwood was John Haggerty, who arrived with his family from Vermont. The town grew rapidly due to its location near two major railroads and easy access to transportation. In 1853, Bellwood became one of the initial townships in Cook County. In 1865, it merged with other nearby townships to form the new municipality of Bellwood Township. In 1870, Bellwood became one of twenty-six communities in Cook County that adopted a municipal charter. That year, it also celebrated its Centennial Anniversary and erected a historical marker located at its center remembrance event. The township was disbanded by state law in 1973 and re-established as an unincorporated community within Kane County under the jurisdiction of Kane County Park District No. 2.
