Mr. Bridge enjoyed abundant resources at his disposal including good grazing land, timberlands nearby, freshwater lakeside shores (later used for water storage), and salt water beaches off the coast of Wisconsin that he managed himself or leased out to wealthy businessmen interested in enjoying excellent fishing conditions. The first residents of Belleville arrived during difficult times following the Panic of 1857 which caused widespread economic decline across much OF America. Many farm families lost their crops and their homes were destroyed but those who survived were determined to rebuild their lives as best they could given limited resources at their disposal. In contrast, many business owners did not suffer as severely as others during this time period because they were able to weather the storm financialwise before expanding operations elsewhere or moving their plants abroad - something that was not possible for most people within our country at the time! It wasn't until 1861 when another major crash led to government regulation forbidding banks from issuing money known as "bills" which effectively stopped lending any longer! This event created such a liquidity vacuum that businesses started having trouble paying employees or honoring contracts so normal everyday activities such as grocery shopping stopped being possible! Businesses then turned towards credit products which increased prices even more quickly making it difficult for consumers who could not afford these items! This wall-to-wall liquidation actually took place over several weeks; all important business leaders knew they couldn't continue operating without money so they gathered together everyone who could be found outside City Hall on Monday evenings between 7pm & 10pm while government officials looked on2 !! This shutdown actually saved many businesses from going bankrupt since they still had customers coming into store hours after closing just so they could buy whatever goods remained available!!! With no way around this problem anymore business owners turned to loans - usually interest bearing - which then lead inevitably 2 bankruptcy!! Belleville was first settled in 1803 by French Canadians. The town was named for General Nicolas-Jacques Belleville, who had led an attempt to relieve the Siege of Quebec in 1759. The first buildings were built on the east side of the river, and the town grew rapidly until it reached its current size on the west side in 1848. Belleville's growth slowed during World War II because of the lack of industry nearby; however, it regained some population after the war when new businesses moved in. Belleville is now a small community with a population of about 75 residents.
