Airguns have been around for over a century and there are many different types of them. Some airguns use air pressure to shoot pellets, others use gas or water to shoot projectiles. Airguns can be used in a variety of ways including target shooting, personal protection, and self-defense. Beach Park is home to one of the largest concentrations of airgun enthusiasts in the Midwest. There are several reasons for this: The climate here is ideal for growing crops and hunting game; there are plenty of public areas where you can fire your airgun; and the population is generally friendly towards firearms. There have been multiple attempts at starting an airgun club in Beach Park. The first attempt was made in 1947 by two men who named themselves the Illinois Rifle Association (IRA). However, they did not have enough members to start a club so they disbanded after only six months. The second attempt was made in 1959 by Dick Metzger who gathered some friends together and started Illinois Air Gun Club (IAGC). IAGC met with success but it wasn’t until 1966 that the first national meeting was held which led to the founding of American AirGun Association (AAGA) on May 1, 1966 in Arlington Heights, Illinois. AAGA has been responsible for bringing gun shooting events all over America ever since! Today, there are more than 10,000 member clubs across America representing every type of airgun imaginable! In Beach Park, we have our own ARGUS group which meets monthly at our local high school gymnasium! Our goal is always to provide fun environment for shooters from all walks of life while promoting responsible firearm use!

Beach Park is a small town located in DuPage County, Illinois, United States. The population was 1,691 at the 2010 census. Beach Park is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. The first people to live in Beach Park were Dutch immigrants who arrived in 1847. In 1871, the village of Beach Park was founded by John H. Beech and his wife Anna Beech, both residents of Geneva, Illinois. They donated property to create a Village Trusteeship that would manage and operate the community services such as schools, water supply, fire protection, and trash collection. At its peak in 1925 there were over 100 residences and businesses including a post office, bank (now First National Bank), grocery store (now Wegmans Market), physicians' office (now University Hospital Center), chiropractor's office (now Chiro clinic), laundry facilities (now Hubbell's Laundry). In 1957 the Village of Beach Park merged with nearby Arlington Heights to form Arlington Heights-Beach Park Township. On July 1st 1958 it became a city when it joined with Chicago through annexation by the city . After years of struggles from Mayor Richard Mangel and City Council members led by Harry Smithwick III., beach park was granted full city status on October 24th 1970 after three failed attempts by Mayor Mangel to get it passed through City Council Chambers without support from other council members or mayor himself

Beach Park is a census-designated place (CDP) in Cook County, Illinois, United States. The population was 14,596 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. The CDP was established on December 3, 1957, as part of a larger realignment of Cook County communities by the Illinois General Assembly. The name "Beach Park" was chosen because it included both the beach and parkland located near the community's center. Beach Park is located on the south side of Beach Avenue between Cicero Avenue and Roosevelt Road. It includes a golf course and two beaches—one with sand and one with water—and has a total area of . The community also contains three public schools: Northwest Side Elementary School (grades K-8), Beach Park Middle School (9th-12th grades), and Beach Park High School (13th-16th grades). According to the 2010 census, there are 14,596 people living in Beach Park CDP. Of these, 10,569 are male and 9,587 are female; 7% are African American and 0% Hispanic or Latino; 31% age 18 or over; 33% under 18 years old; 5% who are not citizens of either country; 15% who speak a language other than English at home; 11% who have no regular job full time but do participate in some sort of economic activity at least once per week outside their homes
On May 5, 1855, the first post office in Beach Park was established. The town of Beach Park was incorporated on November 3, 1857. The town experienced a population growth during the early 1800’s due to its location at the mouth of the Kankakee River. On December 15, 1861, a brick store and two frame houses were built in what is now the downtown area of Beach Park. In 1872, an Improvement District was created and Beacheside Creamery was founded as one of its members. By 1897, there were 11 businesses in Beach Park with a total population of 224 people. A cotton gin and several stores were also built in this time period.
