From 1898 to 1907, Wernick produced about 100 firearms each month from his manufacturing plant on State Street near the present day Eisenhower Expressway. In 1907, Harry Stevens began producing airguns out of his home on West State Street in Bartlett. His company became known as “ Stevens-Goudreau” and continued production until 1933 when it merged with Goudreau Manufacturing Company of Decatur, Illinois to form Stevens-Goudreau Corporation which still manufactures airguns today! In 1934 Harry Stevens passed away and his son John H. Stevens took over production at the family business that continues to this day! In 1937 John H. Stevens married Esther Jorgensen who became president of the company after her father's death! The company has been run by three generations of family members ever since! In 1938 Airgun Manufacturing Company (AGC) was organized with Lt Colonel Jesse Aiken as its President! This company manufactured pistols under license from Airgun Manufacturing Company (AGC)! After World War II ended in 1945 all licensed manufacturers consolidated into one corporation - American Arms Corporation Ltd.. American Arms Corp., headquartered in Bartlett until 1984 when it moved to Wichita Falls Texas!, ceased production entirely on October 1st 1984 due to economic troubles!.

In 1959-60______________ (_Algonquin))_ started developing land east of I-55 between State Street and Kedzie Avenue near Elgin Heights for what would become the current City limits. From that point forward all development within those limits has been through zoning changes or special Acts passed by the City Council."

During World War II, Bartlett was one of several American cities located within Japan's occupation zone; however, it did not experience significant damage or loss due to Japanese forces attacks throughout 1945-1946. In 1956, after years of discussion and planning among local officials and citizens alike, Bartlett saw its first McDonald's restaurant open doors; this signaled an era where food service would become an increasingly important part of daily life for residents hereabouts. Today,bartlett remains one of America's most vibrant small towns with sizeable communities clustered around its main commercial district- home to businesses like Barnes & Noble bookstore chain (opened 2002), KFC fast food restaurant (opened 1984), Ford dealership (opened 2006), etc.- as well as numerous independent shops and services that dot its streetscape day-in and day-out .
