Harry Tappan was born on October 14th, 1868 in Erie County, New York. He immigrated to Chicago after leaving college and worked as a machinist at Ladd Coaches & Carriages before starting his own company called Tappan Machine Workshops Incorporated (TMWI). In 1898 he merged with Seagull Machine WorksCompany Ltd., which had been formed earlier that year by John Jenssen and Augustus Kelley Sr.. At Seagull Machine Works Ltd., Tappan created some of the first successful military rifle magazines that helped transform how artillery can be used during World War I. After World War I ended, Tappan decided to focus on handguns instead of rifles and founded WHAT Firearms Corporation which became Browning handguns corporation following Browning’s purchase of what would later become Armas Modernas SA from Benelli-Libertadse SRL in 1957. AfterBrowning purchased Armas Modernas SA from Benelli- Libertadse SRL in 1957, Armory designations were changed from WHAT Firearms Corporation to Browning handgun corporation effective November 1st 1959 under new corporate ownership guidelines laid down by Samuel Colt himself!

One notable local institution is Stonington Preparatory School which enrolls students from pre-K through eighth grade for private instruction within walking distance of their homes in what is said to be one of Chicagoland's most affluent neighborhoods

Rockefeller and his family as a result of their efforts to build a new town on Lake Michigan just east of their original holdings in Westchester County, New York. At its peak in 1925 it had a population of 30,000 people; however, following World War II suburban growth led to declining populations until 1990 when annexations caused the Village's population to rapidly increase again to over 20,000 people today. The Village was named after Arlington House which once stood on the site of present-day Arlington Heights High School. The house was built in 1853 by John Denny for himself and his wife Lucy Denny (née McCormick). After they were married it became her home until her death in 1911; then it passed through various families before becoming his property again after he died in 1916. In 1886 Jock Sutherland bought what would become present-day Arlington Heights from John Denny for $1 per acre (or $10 per lot). A year later Sutherland donated land to form an agricultural college with initial enrollment reaching 10 students only due to financial difficulties that developed during that time period aroundissa farm(s). That institution still exists as Northern Illinois University - Edwardsville (NIU-E), one of America's largest private universities with more than 100 undergraduate campuses across 38 states and Puerto Rico as well as satellite campuses throughout Canada and Europe. Although first established as an agricultural school within IITA(now NIU), resourcefulness soon characterized Northern Illinois University - Edwardsville when word spread about an energetic young instructor named Clarence King who took classes part-time while working on his farm during those days! Consequently IITA grew into one of America's leading research institutions focused primarily upon Earth Science majors! In 1925 Drury Wistar opened Loyola Hospital which quickly became one of Chicagos most prominent hospitals providing quality care for patients regardless socioeconomically or racially backgrounds because at that time such services were not available through mainstream health systems like Medicare or Medicaid at that time! Some say this hospital’s innovative approach which included using air conditioning/heated floors even during winter months helped make Loyola one of Chicago’s most successful hospitals rivaling even dedicated public hospitals like Cook County Hospital at that time! Today Loyola Hospital remains one of Chicagos top medical institutions providing excellent care to patients regardless socioeconomically or racially backgrounds! During World War II many members from the village served in the military including Sgt Jameson who received Silver Star Medal posthumously As a result many streets and avenues within our village have been renamed after Soldier Trophies including main street “Jameson Road” honoring Fallen Soldier Sgt Jameson while numerous others have been given namesakes like Elmhurst Avenue honoring Mrs Eleanor Roosevelt while other streets/avenues still remain unnamed but will likely receive similar honors over time such as Racine Avenue honoring Father Patrick Doyle currentlyservinginthePensionFundofIllinoisandmanyothernamesake gesturesfromtheVillageassistancetowarfightersduringtheirtimeofneed
