HS produced rifles using aluminum barrels as well – these rifles differed from those made before because they featured leather-covered hammers instead ofsteel hammers on the trigger guard/stock combination (see photo below). In 1937, WMHSS merged with G&A Manufacturing Company Ltd., creating what would become known as G&A-GWB Corporation Limited Partnership. At this point, GWB had been making steel barrels for Rifle ordnance units since 1916 but also produced electrician’s tools under its own name (see photo below).
