Rexburg is located in a small town on the Snake River, about an hour's drive from Boise. It was here that rifle sights were first developed and made available to the general public. The town was established in 1868 by Mormon pioneers as a stop on their route westward. By 1888, when Rifle Scope Manufacturing Company was founded in Rexburg, rifle sights were being available to everyone who wanted them. Rifle scopes have been used for hunting and target practice ever since they were invented. They are now one of the most popular shooting devices available to civilians and hunters alike. Prior to their inception, rifle Sight Manufacturers had to find ways to make their products affordable for everyone. These scopes became popular among Native American warriors because they allowed them To fire larger rounds at a much faster rate than with firearms of their time which required reloading each time!

Rexburg Rifle Scope History began in 1907 when the first rifle scopes were manufactured. The company was owned by J.B. Black and Sons who used their rifles to shoot at a local fairgrounds. Mr. Black died in 1903, but his son continued the business until 1916 when it was taken over by H.J. Nesbitt who changed the name to Browning Arms Company Incorporated in 1918. In 1951, Browning Arms Corporation merged with Republic Gun Works which became Browning-Ferris Industries Incorporated in 1957. In 1984, Browning-Ferris Industries merged with Chiappa Firearms Corporation and now own all of Chiappa’s firearms products worldwide including Rifle Scopes!
Rexburg, Idaho is located in the Sawtooth Mountains and is a small town of about 10,000 people. The town was founded in 1902 by homesteaders who came from Oregon. Rexburg has a population growth rate of only 1%. In 1990, Rexburg had an estimated population of 9,500 people and in 2000 it had decreased to 8,500 people. However, the decrease can be attributed to the recession which hit Rexburg hard. In 2006, the Rexburg Chamber of Commerce announced that they would be closing their doors for good due to low revenue. The economy of Rexburg is primarily supported by agriculture and manufacturing. Some of the main businesses in town include: a grocery store, a hardware store, a car dealership, and a printing shop. The most popular type of food eaten here are potatoes and Native American cuisine such as fry bread or soup with dumplings. One trend seen in Rexburg is the rise of small businessownership which has helped to revitalize its economy. One unique aspect about this small town is its lack of city services like waste management or public transportation. This makes life much more difficult for those who need these services but also gives the community some breathing room; for example when there’s an emergency call then all citizens are called on regardless of whether they live within walking distance or not!

Rexburg, Idaho is a town in eastern Idaho, United States. The population was 951 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Boise metropolitan area. Rexburg was founded by George Rapp and his family in 1885. The town name comes from a post office that was established in 1887 and named for General George Rapp, who had been campaign manager for Ulysses S. Grant's presidential victory in 1884. The first settler in Rexburg was John Larkin, who arrived on November 16, 1886. He platted what is now Rexburg Township on May 20, 1888. In 1899, Arapaho Chief Joseph Atlee came to Rexburg and met with Gouverneur Ketchum about forming a company to explore new areas east of the Great Western Railway line that led to Boise Valley. After some discussion, Atlee agreed to become an initial member of the company and named it the "Arapaho Company" after himself and his father-in-law (Uzbek tribal leader). In 1902, Jerald Easley arrived at Rexburg from Cache Valley; he would later be one of the longest serving mayors of Boise City (1925–1945). Easley soon became interested in mining gold near Arbuckle Creek; he built an assay office and prospecting shack on his ranch there in 1904. With help from local dentist James Hargrave (1868–1952), Easley soon developed a large gold mine at Springerville which produced $10 million worth of GOLD PRODUCTS during its peak production period from 1907 through 1916! In 1905 Gifford Pinchot organized what would eventually become known as The United States Geological Survey (USGS) – making it possible for Americans living outside major urban centers such as Washington D.C., New York City or Boston to study natural resources without having their findings censored or ignored by their government counterparts based within those cities! This began what would eventually be known as American Geological Society activity throughout much of America! While this early USGS work did not lead to any major discoveries until well after World War II when they were finally given statutory authority by Congress under the National Geology & Mineral Act (1876), it did provide invaluable research capability for future mineral exploration! Like many other small towns throughout America during this time period – including Butte County seat Helena – Rexsburg experienced economic hard times due primarily to land grants obtained by President Theodore Roosevelt via Executive Order No.(5) on July 4th 1906!!! These lands included parts of present day ID along with neighboring Placer County!! As a result of theseonedevelopment efforts being lacking or uncoordinated within both political partieslargely owing to personal greed & influence rather than scientific bona fides & merit – many small towns across America went into decline over the next several decades!! Much like our own hometown of Boise which saw its population dwindlefrom over 100 people per square mile prior to WWII down close TO NO ONE BY THE TIME THAT THE GREAT WEST RAILROAD CAME THROUGH IN THE EARLY 1920s… REXBURG DID NOT SUFFER ANY MENACE FROM THIS !! Instead THEY BEGAN TO EVolve INTO A MODERN CITY WHICH CONTINUES TO EXIST TODAY….. thanks largely TO THEIR OWN CRAZY BUSINESS ENTrepreneurship!!!
The Rexburg, Idaho gold rush began on October 15, 1858 when a prospector named John H. Waddell discovered gold in the nearby hills. By December of that year, the town had been founded and was growing rapidly. The first post office was established in January of 1860 and by 1861, Rexburg had a population of over 100 people. On July 10, 1861, the United States Congress passed legislation creating the U.S. District Court for Oregon Territory which included much of what is today Idaho and Nevada. The first justice to be appointed to this court was William Fenton who arrived in Rexburg on August 5th, 1861. By 1865, there were over 1,500 residents living in Rexburg with a total assessed value of $4 million dollars!
