The Rexburg Rifle and Pistol Club was founded in 1907. At that time, the city of Rexburg had only one rifle range which was located on the corner of South First and Second Streets. The range was used by the military as well as civilians. In 1916, the club moved to a new location on North Fourth Street and continued to use it until 1945 when it closed due to lack of patronage.

The community began as a log cabin settlement on the south bank of the Snake River in 1876. The town's name comes from an early post office that opened in 1887, which was named for General John A. Logan (1836-1907), who fought at Bull Run and Second Seminole War campaigns during the American Civil War. Rexburg experienced some growth during World War II as it became home to over 100 military personnel and their families stationed at nearby Fort Jessup and Fort Snelling naval installations. 1945 marked also the first year that Rexburg had its own school system with seven schools serving grades pre-kindergarten through 12th grade; four high schools; one postsecondary institution (the University of Idaho); one branch library (worth $1 million renovation project completed in 2006) In recent years, Rexburg has seen significant redevelopment including both retail development along US 95 north to Boise Airport and residential subdivision projects on parcels bordering Uinta County land east of town. In addition, several businesses have relocated or closed within local limits following changes in economic conditions or other factors such as increased competition from larger communities near by or online shopping being available more distant than when Rexburg founded its business district around 1914

Over time, other methods for releasing projectiles became available which made gun target shooting much easier than it had ever been before. One such advancement was the Gatling Gun, which utilised multiple revolving barrels in order to shoot individual rounds into the air at high speed. This allowed for highly accurate shots at distances up to 100 feet! As technology continued to develop, so too did the types ofARGETS that could be used on battlefields across America.
