The Idaho Legislature authorized the purchase of firearms for military use on July 1, 1907. The first guns were purchased by the Rexburg Rifle and Pistol Club. The club soon became a part of the City of Rexburg and continued to purchase firearms for use in its police department and other law enforcement functions. On February 14, 1912, the City Council voted to start manufacturing their own firearms. This led to the establishment of Rexburg Arms Company as a manufacturer of handguns and rifles for both municipal police forces and the military. The company was until 1926 an armory with a gun shop on First Street. In 1916, after World War I ended, Rexburg Arms Company merged with George Wesson & Sons Manufacturing Co., Incorporated to form Wesson-Rexburg Firearms Corporation (WREFC). In 1924, WREFC produced its first repeating rifle, the Model 700 Winchester rifle. In 1939 WREFC merged with Remington Arms Corporation to form Remington-Wesson Corporation (RWC). During World War II RGWC produced arms for both Canada and America’s armed forces including sniper rifles, artillery pieces and jeeps. After the war RGWC resumed production of handguns but also began producing shotguns which it would continuing produce until 1955 when it merged with Browning handgun company to become Browning-Remington Corporation (BRC). In 1951 BRC became an independent manufacturer when it merged with Charter Arms Corporation (CHA) creating what is now Crosman Defense Systems LLC located in Boise Idaho!

Rexburg is home to the world's first firearm hat factory, established in 1907. The company produced firearms and ammunition while also manufacturing hats for a variety of customers including the military and law enforcement. In 1934, the company merged with another local hat manufacturer, Sons of Liberty Hat Company. The merger allowed Sons of Liberty to produce more hats than before and helped to popularize firearms in Rexburg.
Rexburg, Idaho is a small town located in southeastern Idaho. The population was 1,812 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Boise-Canton, ID Metropolitan Statistical Area. Rexburg was founded by Mormons in 1887 as a farming community on the banks of the Raccoon River. The town became an important transportation center for easterners moving to and from pioneer goldfields in the area. By 1900, Rexburg had become a prosperous mining and lumbertown with several thousand residents. In 1929, Rexburg became an incorporated town under state law. Its first mayor was George Wickersham (1886-1969). The decline of mining and logging in the late 20th century led to decline in population and economic development of Rexburg over time. However, recent redevelopment efforts have brought new life to the community and has increased its stature as an agricultural center with diversified businesses including grocery stores, restaurants, auto parts stores and other businesses
Firearms hats have a long and storied history. They began as traditional headwear for men in the 18th century, and became popular among military personnel during the 19th century. The modern firearms hat has its origins in the post-World War I era, when American soldiers returned to combat wearing helmets that obscured their faces from enemy snipers. In response, military personnel developed new designs of firearms hats that were less bulky and more comfortable to wear. The early firearms hats featured a band around the circumference of the hat brim, which was used to hold onto your weapon's stock or bipod. By 1920, many American states had passed laws authorizing firearm owners to bring their weapons into public places without having to obtain a permit. As gun culture grew increasingly influential in America throughout the 20th century, firearm hat use by civilians increased as well. This trend continued into the 21st century, with firearm hat use becoming more common among law enforcement officers and other security professionals across different countries. Today, there is no single type of firearms hat that is universally accepted as being either fashionable or functional – however, some common types of firearms hats include baseball caps and beanies.

Rexburg is a small town in Idaho, located on the Snake River. The population was 1,529 as of the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Canyon County and home to Rexburg Airport. The first people to live in what is now Rexburg were Native Americans. In 1868, A.P Merrill founded a trading post here and named it after his friend and business partner, General George Armstrong Custer. Merrill also built a log cabin here that still stands today. The post served as an important stop on the Oregon Trail and was known for its good food and cheap prices for goods from Salt Lake City. In 1886, Jens Soderlund started a sawmill in what is now downtown Rexburg. The mill continued operating until 1949 when it was closed due to technology advances. Today, Rexburg has several historic buildings such as the former Methodist Church which was built in 1893, courthouse which was erected in 1907, and Soderlund's Store which was built in 1902- 1903). In addition to these structures, there are several other older buildings that have been preserved or restored including: the old schoolhouse (1892), Grain Elevator (1915), Post Office (1914), Masonic Temple (1912) and more! What makes Rexburg so special are its many cultural attractions such as its downtown square where you can find numerous shops/restaurants/bars/theaters/ etc., its growing arts community with several galleries and museums located throughout town including the locally owned Rexburg Museum of Art (founded in 2003), cowboy culture with exhibitions at local ranches/outposts along with exhibits at the Idaho State Fairgrounds nearby each year – all making this one place you won't want to leave!
Rexburg was founded in 1887 by J. H. Rex, a surveyor and landowner. The town was named after Rexburg, Idaho, which at the time was a small settlement located on the Snake River. The first post office in Rexburg was established in 1889. In 1907, the town became a city and remained so until 1959 when it reverted to its original name of Rexburg.
