Post Falls, Idaho is a small town located in Clark County, Idaho. The population was 3,731 at the 2010 census. Post Falls is one of the smallest towns in the United States and it only has a population of 1,780 as of July 2017. The first post office in Post Falls was established on October 15, 1887. The current post office building was built in 1951. The town started as a farming community and during World War II it became an air base providing storage for planes and munitions. In 1963 Post Falls voters approved approval of annexation by Boise City; however, this annexation did not take place until 1971 when both cities were merged into Boise County. The economy of Post Falls has been primarily based on agriculture since its founding. Today there are several small businesses operating in the town with a wide variety of products and services available to their customers.

In 1886, the Post brothers donated land to build a city on the site of their previous store. The new city was named Post Falls after the falls that surrounded it. The city experienced rapid growth and by 1912 had a population of over 1,000 people. In 1935, Post Falls became an incorporated municipality with a Mayor and City Council. Today, Post Falls is home to many businesses and services, making it one of the most vibrant cities in Idaho.
