In 1914, when Idaho became a state, butte county was split into two parts: eastern butte county (including Nampa) became Ada County while western butte county (including Castle Valley) became Justus County. However, since both counties were named after other people or places within their respective borders (eastern because it included much of Nampa proper while justus because it included Justus City), they would continue to be known as Butte County until 1959 when they were renamed to Clark and Butte Counties respectively. During World War II, many local businesses supplied goods and materials to military installations around Boise and Battle Mountain; some citizens even worked for war industries themselves. In 1945-46 there was also significant construction activity at Army Air Forces Base Boise which led to increased use of town streets during that time period - something that still occurs today as most business areas are concentrated close to either I-5 or Snake River Boulevard exits/entrances). After Pearl Harbor Day Park opened in 1949 with land donated by Mrs John Wadleigh (the daughter of late General James Wadleigh), many people moved into Nampas development area surrounding park including many farmers who had lost their livestock during World War II due to shortages caused by wartime diseases such as bovine TB which had spread through Asia via American troops fighting there. Nampa's rich history can be found from its earliest days when settlers began moving into what is now central-northwestern Idaho Territory in 1907. One such pioneer was J C McGee who organized what would eventually become The Western States Bank in 1911 based in Boise City (now Boise). McGee also helped develop western mining towns such as Butte and Jerome while he lived in Nampa; his company later became McGee Mining Corporation which still exists today doing extensive mining operations throughout North America. In addition to its namesake stream - which flows through downtown - another important feature that made Namba unique was its location: right next to both Price and Salmon Counties! This gave it easy access to goods and services necessary for day-to-day life while also providing plenty of opportunities for residents to interact with their surrounding countiesides! During prohibition years (1937-1948), some entrepreneurs decided to open bars/nightclubs all around central Idaho Territory; this proved disastrous for local economy as Prohibition caused prices for necessities like food to skyrocket which resulted in widespread unemployment among locals not only during those years but also following repeal six years later! Despite this negative experience early on – thanks mostly to then Mayor Harry Sroun – things started looking up pretty quickly once news spread about how successful prohibition had been overall… until 1966 when rates went back up again courtesy of thenGovernor Gary Williams! That same year saw yet another significant event in town’s history when The Friday Night Faire pulled off an amazing feat by hosting world renowned rock band Yes at Tcell Arena! This show signaled a new era where music marquisized central IDAs landscape starting right here at home! Although not everyone was happy about it – especially given Yes frontman Jon Anderson’s notoriously passionate stage antics – nonetheless this event represented something very special indeed for downtown Namba & all who call it home! A few years later (1998), another bigwig hit happened when Bicentennial Hall served as host venue for Stroudsburg Philharmonic Orchestra's annual performance season!!! Needless to say – everyone had their hands full!! After 10 seasons at Bicentennial hall (& several more prior performances) finally moving out due lack of space soon followed… but don't forget about our weekly Farmers Market Tuesdays @ 6pm inside Bicentennial Hall?? All kidding aside though - Downtown always functions extremely well regardless 😉
