By 1890, when MountainHome incorporated as a city under Interstate Commerce Commission auspices, it had over 100 residents! Mountain home’s thriving economy changed dramatically during World War II when almost all manufacturing went off-limits due to wartime rationing restrictions. However, thanks to local marketing efforts and support from military personnel stationed at Topaz Army Base until 1957 – when it closed – much production did take place within town limits nonetheless! Many families worked alongside vital war industries such as aircraft manufacturing or munitions production; these jobs created vast amounts of wealth for locals throughout postwar years! In recent decades however there has been increasing attention paid to preserving our downtown core as well as developing new business districts outside of mainstreet while still honoring past values like downtown nightlife/ music/ arts & culture events etc., which continue draw longtime residents back every day!
