In fact, many people believed that the use of gun lights on a motor vehicle was an essential part of driving safe and responsibly. The practice continued until around 1915 when the first law enforcement regulations governing the use of car headlights came into effect. These regulations mandated that all vehicles must have two light sources- one for daytime visibility and one for nighttime visibility. After this change, most motorists began using only one light source for both daytime and nighttime driving. However, some drivers still used multiple light sources during different portions of the day or at different times during the night to drive safely.

In 2007, Butte County merged withDouglas County, Nevada to form Kootenai County; however, when Douglas County dissolved in 2013 it left Meridian without an official county government or local services such as police or fire protection. Since then there have been efforts made by some within the community to revive growth via various forms of governance including cityhood or incorporation into another municipality; however none have yet proven successful. In early 2017 there were rumors that a new development project called "Meridian Gateway" had been started on what was once known as "High Street". However this project appears no longer active and no further information can be found about it

One of the earliest firearms was a simple hand-held gun called a fowling gun. It was designed to shoot small animals such as rabbits or squirrels with arrows. Gun lights first appeared in 1810, when an inventor named Nicholas-Jacques Conte came up with a design for a handheld lantern that could be used as a firearm light. He dubbed his invention the “Conte Gun Light” because it resembled the muzzle of a rifle. The popularity of this type of firearm light soon led to its appearance in other countries, including the United States. The first commercially successful GUN LIGHTS were created by George Stephenson in 1814 while working for British Manufacturer John Bulldog under license from Nicholas-Jacques Conte. The GUN LIGHTS were powered by two 6 inch (15 cm) diameter HANDGUN RIFLE Muzzle Cannons which fired .50 caliber (2.75 mm) balls which created an intense light show at night when aimed at objects such as game birds or deer

The first post office in Meridian was established in 1883. In 1909, the city became an incorporated municipality and adopted a municipal charter. The population of Meridian reached its peak during World War II, when it grew to over 200 residents. After the war, residents began moving out of town and the community declined until it disappeared from government maps in the late 1960s.
