In 1937, the company merged with an othergunswivels company in nearby Boise to form the Boise Gun Swivels Company. This merger allowed the Lewiston Gun Swivel Company to continue producing firearms, as well as produce swivels for use with handgun barrels (the original gun barrels were made from hardwood). Over time, various additional companies were added to the Lewiston Gun Swivel Corporation family tree, which led to its current name: TheLewistonGunSwivelsCompany.Today, TheLewistonGunSwivellsCompany is one of the leading producers of handgun barrel swives and related products in North America.
