In 1875, Idaho Falls was known as a small frontier town with a population of only 25 people. However, over the years, the city has become one of the most important cities in central Idaho. The city is home to both the University of Idaho and many major C-Corp companies. In addition, it is also home to several firearm manufacturers and distributors. Firearms are an integral part of this culture and history in Idaho Falls. The first firearms were lockset guns which were used for hunting game. These early firearms were made from iron or brass and had no sights or knobs on them. Early firearms historians believe that these early firearms were not very reliable and required a lot of practice to use effectively. In 1892, Akins Gunsmiths began production of handguns in Boise, ID. From this time until 1912, Akins Arms & Tool Company operated out of what is now known as the Akins Gunsmith Shop located at 202 Main Street in downtown Boise. During this time period, Akins Arms & Tool produced some interesting handguns such as the “Boise” revolver which was patterned after the Colt Single Action Army revolver and had a six inch barrel. Bishop Manufacturing Corporation began production in 1916 at their plant on State Highway 20 east of Boise City according to manufacturer records (See Bishop Armory). This company produced revolvers chambered for 5mm caliber rounds called “Bishop Shotshells” (See Bishop Arms Co.). Theodore Roosevelt offered his two cents worth when he visited Ida County during President Woodrow Wilson’s trip through Central America in 1916 He purchased rifles from various gunmakers including George Barrett who was then president of American Locket Workshops Incorporated (ABarrett Rifle Manufacturers Inc.) In 1917 he founded NRA - National Rifle Association The following year saw significant changes with NRA becoming an organization separate from ADFA - American Defense Federation due to increasing concern about international tensions Following World War I there was an increase in regulations governing ammunition sales within America After prohibition ended nationally magazines became legal again however Restrictions still applied to pistols Ammunition manufacturing took off during Prohibition era with many new companies entering into industry Pistol manufacture resumed after repeal On October 3rd 1920 by orderof Governor William McKinley all private citizens were allowed possession and purchase Of pistols except those licensed by Bureau Of Interior By Order Of Secretary Atanasoff November 1st 1920 pistol possession became perishable With exceptions noted below Possession becomes unenforceable After December 15th 1922 pistols could be possessed but cannot be sold without prior written permission From that date forward pistols could be bought only by those owning a license To possess any semiautomatic pistol must have accompanying permit Possession becomes unenforceable after January 1st 1934 Pistol ownership reverted back to individual citizens

The city of Idaho Falls has a rich firearm history dating back to the early 1800s. The city's first gunsmith, James Hill, designed and built the first firearms in 1820. Rifle and Shotgun manufacturer George Hays also locate in Idaho Falls during this time period. In 1882, the Idaho Arms Company was founded by Hays and his brother-in-law, Hiram Maxim. This company manufactured rifles and shotguns for local farmers and hunters. In 1903, the American Armoury Corporation was founded in downtown Idaho Falls by John Wickersham and Gustavus Weinreb. This company manufactured pistols, revolvers, shotguns, rifle ammunition, handguns (including revolvers), and other sporting goods. In 1916, the National Armory Corporation was founded in downtown Idaho Falls by Harry Markowitz and Solomon Weinstock with a goal of producing only quality firearms for military use. The Armory produced both rifles and pistols until it closed its doors in 1984. During World War II, the city of Idaho Falls became known as "the Arsenal of America" because of its production of guns for the US army at various locations around town including Main Street Armory (now part of Raytheon) on Pine Street; Second Avenue Armory on Broadway; West Street Armory on State Street; North Third Street Armory on University Boulevard; East Second Avenue Armory on Pershing Boulevard; South First Avenue Armory on Jackson Boulevard; Fort Hall Arsenal located near Commerce City off Interstate 80/US 61 Ammunition production ceased at these sites after 1945 but weapons were still stored until they were destroyed or sold to other jurisdictions following the end of World War II

The history of firearm clothing began with the development of firearms. Firearms were first used in war to kill enemies and protect people, and soon after they were appropriated by militias and police forces. As these organizations became more powerful, they desired to keep their members safe from harm. This was because uniforms were a symbol of power and authority. Officers who did not wear uniforms risked being ridiculed or even killed. During the 1930s, the United States government prohibited all civilians from owning firearms. This meant that militias had to purchase arms in order to defend themselves against future attacks by the government or other paramilitary organizations. As a result, many militias began wearing clothing that advertised their affiliation with a particular organization or group (e.g., an NRA hat). A number of factors have contributed to changes in firearm Clothing over time: 1) The development of technology has made firearms more accurate than ever before - this has led to increased demand for improved ammunition and armor protection for law enforcement officers and militaries alike; 2) More people are now alive on Earth than at any point in history - which has led to an increase in shootings across all industries; 3) Large-scale protests have become more common throughout the world - which has led some individuals to choose outdoor activities over going door-to-door canvassing; 4) The rise of social media has allowed users around the world to communicate directly with each other about crime or safety issues;
The first firearms were used in combat by Native Americans, who used them to shoot buffalo and other animals. Pistol firing became popular among the lower class of society in the 18th century, and handguns (and then rifles) started becoming more common. In 1792, George Washington was the first American president to own a rifle.
Idaho Falls, located on the Snake River in eastern Idaho, is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the United States. The falls are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and are considered one of the best examples of operable waterfalls in North America. The town that grew up around the falls was originally named Butte but was changed to Idaho Falls because it was thought that the name would less likely be appropriated by another town. The townsite was settled by farmers and lumbermen who came to the area during the early 20th century to find new land for farming and development. By 1930, there were over 1,500 people living in Idaho Falls. In 1941, during World War II, local parents organized a group called "The Friends of Our Country" to help raise money for their country. They raised $2,565 from local residents through bake sales, car wash donations, and other means before sending packages filled with cash and American flags to soldiers overseas. In 1951, when Congress passed legislation designating alluvial plains as national monuments (the first such designation), Idaho Falls became part of this newly created category. In 1984–1985, pursuant to Act 154 of 1984 (Public Law 98-477), which designated Aspen National Forest adjacent to Interstate 90 as a national forest within The Wilderness Society's Appalachian Mountainservation program,[1] management of Interstate 90 within Aspen National Forest was transferred from USFS (U.S. Forest Service) authorities within Tooele National Forest to THS (United States Highway System) authorities within Aspen National Forest;[2] thus becoming an authorized ranger station for both forests.[3] Since then many aspects of life have been delegated downriver at Ranger District Headquarters where several hundred employees provide support including visitor services and law enforcement activities which include investigating crimes spree across both forests while providing natural resource education opportunities for citizens throughout Idaho Falls urban area visitors can enjoy hiking or skiing or fishing either at Butte Dam Recreation Area or Ketchum Reservoir off I-90 A Brief History: On January 12th 1868 James Waddell founded what is now known as Spokane County according to his journal entry: “I starting out from here with my wagonloads o’ goods & homesteading 500 miles westward […] started out on foot & had no guides except Native Americans we met along our route” On July 4th 1871 he reached his destination about 20 miles south east of present day Boise after spending three weeks traveling without food or water camping underbrush near what is today called Sawtooth Dam Park
The first permanent settler in what became Idaho Falls, Ariz., was David Wells in 1878. Wells built a cabin on the site of present-day Jackson Park and named it for his hometown of Jackson, Tenn. The town rapidly grew and by 1889 had a population of 479 residents. By 1909, the city had reached its peak with 1,269 residents. However, during World War I, the city's population decreased by 50% as people avoided military service in time of war. In 1925, the City Council voted to annex portions of former California County which lay to the east of downtown Idaho Falls. This annexation created a new municipality that included most of what is now Boise Valley and much of southeastern Idaho including Aspen and Twin Falls counties. The following year saw another vote to annex additional territory to form an enlarged city-county relationship with Boise Valley. In 1932–33 the vote resulted in incorporation of all but two easternmost neighborhoods within the present-day city limits – Ironwood and North Fork – into Boise Valley while keeping Ironwood as an annexed community outside the bounds of town proper. As more people moved into central Idaho during World War II – resulting in an increase in population density – demand for space began to exceed available resources; accordingly, development plans for downtown were initiated which ultimately led to its current state. In 1947 construction began on Lincoln Cathedral School; at that time it was one of only few buildings west side Main Street from Douglas Road (now Umatilla Rd.) upstream through downtown and onto Roberts Creek which provided water access for irrigation purposes until 1965 when Cedar Rapids took over operations fromlocally sourced water supplies
