Humphrey National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), portions of Hayden were included within Anadarko County for military purposes; this arrangement continued until 1992 when all federal lands were transferred back to the states under NDAA guidelines. The town is located at 36°33′N 106°14′W / 36.903’N 106.27’W / -106.37’N 096.65’W . It has an elevation of 1,918 feet (553 meters). According to the 2010 census report,[1] it had a population of 3,851 people who lived in 2,032 housing units and reported an average household size of 2 people per household.[2] Municipalities with populations over 4,000 are much more likely to have urban services like crime prevention or public transportation than they are to rely heavily on agriculture or local services like firefighting or education.[3] Hayden is bordered on three sides by rural terrain: Tooele County on the north side; Eagle Valley Community Services District #5 on the east side; and Caldwell County on the south side

Hayden was founded in 1907 by Mormon missionaries and named after their leader, George A. Hayden. Hayden is located about 12 miles east of Coeur d'Alene on U.S. Route 508 (Upper Snake River Highway). The town straddles the Snake River and has a canal running through it that provides irrigation for surrounding farmland and homes. The local school system includes 4 schools: one elementary school, one middle school, and two high schools; as well as 2 libraries with over 15,000 volumes among them. The Hayden Hotel was built in 1911 to serve as a hotel for travelers coming to the area around Coeur d'Alene or any of its neighboring towns during that time period. It served as both a lodging facility and also as a place where businesses could set up shop while they waited for customers or goods from other areas to come in transportable crates or barrels that were then loaded onto wagons brought by wagon drivers called "carts." In 1926 it became an air conditioned movie theater which still operates today though smaller screens newer than those used in old theaters such as Regal Cinemas across the country at this time began appearing only beginning in the late 1990s due to more affordable costs associated with digital projection equipment however older 35mm film projectors are still occasionally seen showing movies hereduring special events such as county fairs etc... In recent years there have been plans underway by some developers to demolish much of what exists within historical Hayden boundaries (most notably what remained of the original hotel) making way for new housing development but no final decisions have yet been made so please check back wwwwww...

Hayden, Idaho is located in the eastern United States and was first settled by the Hidatsa people in the late 18th century. The Hayden Valley gold rush began in 1848 and led to the development of Hayden City. The city was named after General George A. Hayden, who played a major role in the American Civil War.
