The company produced binoculars until 1979 when it bought out Brownell-Athletic Corporation. From 1979 through 1987, the company was headquartered at 12251 State Street in Mesa, Arizona. In 1987, Brownell-Athletic Corporation moved its corporate headquarters from Mesa to downtown Hayden after merging with several other companies including Rheingold Incorporated and American Optics Corporporated. In 2000, Brownell-Athletic Corporation merged into Hasselblad AB (Hasselblad) which continues to producebinoculars under their own name today.
