Garden City, Idaho is a city in the U.S. state of Idaho and the county seat of Butte County. The population was 54,811 at the 2010 census. It is the most populous city in Butte County, and has been growing rapidly since its incorporation as a city in 2006. The downtown area is home to several large shopping malls, banks, restaurants and other businesses. Garden City is located on the South Platte River just east of its confluence with the Snake River. It was first settled by Mormons who built Fort Bridger on their rancho (land grant) in 1859-60. They named their new town after Garden City, Utah, where they had been sent to proselytize by Brigham Young before his departure from Nauvoo for Salt Lake City in 1844. The first post office was established in Garden City on July 1, 1861; it became known as Boise on January 1, 1865. The first business establishment was an insurance company called Greenleaf & Company which opened for business on September 20 of that year. Business increased markedly when territorial governments began issuing paper money which could be used to purchase goods and services from citizens. On October 15th Territorial Governor John Custer issued a proclamation declaring Boise "the central point around which all must unite" to resist invaders from Wyoming Territory encroaching into eastern Oregon through what is now Ward County; this call for unity led to increased trade between Boise and surrounding towns over telegraph lines established between Boise andcheralds like Cheyenne and Lincoln Counties! Boise's location made it ideal for mining operations due to its rich coal seams located near present day Caldwell Mine #4A about northeast of downtown Boise along US 95E (now I-84). Mining companies such as George Eastman Coal Mines founded here during the late 1860s were among early boosters of Garden City as an agricultural center because they believed that farming would soon become unnecessary due to easy access to coal reserves nearby: these mines produced until 1971 when production stopped due primarily to environmental factors including overcollection by miners who left lead behind in abandoned pits dug during initial exploration efforts; however some surface workings still remain today adjacent Tooele Valley Road NE about northwest of downtown Garden City GardenCity grew rapidly following its incorporation as a city on June 6th 2006 with 462 residents living within 2 miles (3 km) radius of each other inside butte county limits

The patent expired in 1922 but descendants of his design continue to be popular among somegunshotters today who find its benefits including improved accuracy over traditional rifle scopes when shooting through obstructions like trees or buildings
On August 1, 1918 the U.S. military issued the first large-scale expansion of mountaineering equipment for soldiers and Marines with the issuance of Special Order No. 10, which called for the procurement of a new type of rifle mount that could be quickly erected on armored vehicles or other heavy targets. The new rifle mount was designated as Type A1 and would become known as the M1918A3 Rifle Mount. The first Type A1 Rifle Mount was designed by Major General John J. Pershing and produced by Rock Island Arsenal in 1919. It was used to attach a Lewis Gun to an armored car or other heavy target, allowing infantrymen to fire directly at their intended target while being protected from artillery fire. The M1918A3 Rifle Mount became standard issue on many American tanks and assault guns during World War II, eventually becoming known as the Weapon Systems rackmount system (WSR).
Garden City is a small town in Loda County, Idaho, United States. The population was 596 at the 2010 census. Garden City is located on the Milk River and is part of the Boise metropolitan area. It started as a small irrigation village in 1907 and grew to become an agricultural center in the 1920s. The community was named for Garden City, Kansas, where its first postmaster, W. H. Pool, had originated. The town began as a farming settlement on the east bank of the Milk River near present-day Meridian and Highway 95. In 1907, two brothers founded Garden City Farms with land they purchased from three ranchers who had recently expired from tuberculosis. The next year, Mrs. John Payson donated land to establish a school district that would serve as the town's first purpose-built building. By 1912, when Garden City officially became a municipality, it boasted a population of 100 residents and 3 businesses: restaurant (which opened in 1913), grocery store (opened in 1916), and millinery shop (opened in 1917). A public library was added by 1915 when ownership changed hands among several families who lived within walking distance of the library's original building on Depot Street near Main Street. In 1922–23, garden city experienced one of its most significant changes when developer Harry Fenton established himself as an influential figure within local agriculture circles by purchasing all but 1/3 of all registered acres within what would become known as garden city limits; this included much of what now forms central business district of Boise proper including demolished brick buildings which once housed local mills & stores dating back to early 20th century
Garden City was founded in 1907 by H.W. Dickinson and his brother-in-law, J.C. Nichols as a small town on the banks of the Snake River in southeastern Idaho. The community grew rapidly and by 1912 it had reached its present size. In 1916 Garden City became the seat of government for Rexburg County, which included parts of what is now Boise Valley and Sawtelle Canyon. Garden City experienced significant growth during World War I, when the federal government created two camps in the area to house soldiers stationed in southern Idaho. The population of Garden City soared to over 100 000 people during World War I, more than any other town in Rexburg County. After the war ended, many people moved to Garden City from Rexburg County and other parts of Idaho because of its good economic opportunities. During the 1930s, Garden City experienced a significant influx of Italians who had come to work in agriculture in central California during the Great Depression. Many Italian Americans decided to move to Garden City because they found it affordable housing and fertile land for their crops; however, some residents objected to this new immigrant group that they saw as different from them culturally and politically. This tension led to several outbreaks of violence between Italian American workers and local native citizens beginning in 1933, which ultimately led to increased police patrols and better public relations for Gardencity after years of turmoil
