Chubbuck, Idaho is a small town located in the Snake River Valley of southeastern Idaho. The population was 1,848 at the 2010 census. Chubbuck’s history goes back to 1882 when it was part of the Fort Bridger Indian Reservation and then became a mining town. In 1912, the first rifle factory in America opened in Chubbuck and continues to produce firearms today. Ammunition production began here in 1898 and continued until 1959. Today, Chubbuck is home to two gunsmiths who repair and build firearms. The town also has a number of shooting ranges which include three from which citizens can purchase rifles or shotguns for use at local matches or shoots. In 1911, an act was passed by Congress authorising the President of the United States to take possession of all public land within fifty miles of any city or fortieth mile of any other place where troops were quartered, with such regulations as may be necessary for their protection; excepting only that part belonging to Oregon executed under said act on July 4th last. This area included present-day easternmost Utah and westernmost Nevada. In 1916-1917 (during World War I), Chubbuck hosted over 6500 soldiers stationed there while they were being trained at Camp Kingman outside present day Boise City limits

In 2006, Chubbco Inc., an online retailer headquartered in Boise, acquired a controlling interest in local mom and pop convenience stores GFCO and Wawa through its subsidiary Boost Mobile USA Holdings Incorporated (BMO). At that time GFCO and Wawa merged into one store with Chubbco occupying all eight locations within the combined company footprint before going out of business two years later due to heavy competition from Amazon e-commerce giant Amazon Web Services LLC's newly announced purchase of Graco Stores Incorporated (Grocery Outlet), including five Chubbckians located across four states: Arizona, California, Colorado Springs CO; Florida; Maine; New Hampshire; Texas Chubbuck residents have voted numerous times on issues that impact their community such as Measure V - a referendum for funding for public transportation improvements - which has seen success every time since its inception with over 60% passing by vote each time The City Council currently has six members elected at-large plus Mayor pro Tem Yvonne Beavers who serves as chairperson and ranking member when needed due to termlimits set by city councilmembers . Mayor Beavers is also responsible for day-to-day operations while her husband Jeff Beavers chairs statewide government affairs for Idahoans First Party . According to 2016 Census data collected by Demographic Data Solutions Inc., about 78% of households lived inside their own homes or alone behind fences within 2 miles (3 km)of where they resided according to American Community Survey figures released this past November 15th . Shooting protection history is a relatively new and growing area of firearms safety. In the early days of firearms, shooters were largely reliant on muzzleloading guns that lacked any form of safety design or protection from accidental firing. With the development of breech loading rifles and pistols, shooting began to become more dangerous and owners of these weapons started to demand better design in order to ensure safe handling. In 1853, John Browning designed the first effective rifle barrel protector, which was later improved by George Fenton in 1864 with the development of the breechloader rifle. The breechloader rifle was an important tool in World War II because it allowed for faster fire rates and increased accuracy while reducing risk of unintentional firing. Muzzleloading shotguns also began to be developed during this time period, but they continued to rely on traditional muzzle-loading designs which made them less vulnerable to accidental fires.
