Chubbuck, Idaho is located in the Boise area of Idaho. The population of Chubbuck was 5,883 at the 2010 census. The town was founded in 1865 by W.D. Chubb and named after him. It was established on a small stream called Chubbuck Creek. The first post office in Chubbuck opened in 1868 and served until 1907. In 1909, the U.S. Post Office Building (now known as the Wells Fargo building) was built in downtown Chubbuck and has been used by the United States Postal Service ever since. There are several businesses located in downtown Chubbuck including: a bank, a grocery store, an acupuncture clinic, and a barber shop/ beauty salon/ dry-cleaning shop. As of 2009, there were also six private schools within walking distance of downtown Chubbucks primary business district - four elementary schools and two middle schools; one high school; and one professional school - all of which offer educational opportunities for students from pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade

Chubbuck is a small town in Idaho, United States. The population was 1,635 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Boise metropolitan area. The first residents of what is now Chubbuck were Crows and Pigeons who settled there around 1875. A post office was established in 1876, and by 1880 it had grown to include a store, gristmill, and school. The town was named for Jens Chubb (1811-1882), an early settler who bought land in the area from the Umatilla Sioux. By 1886, most of what is now Chubbuck had been built: a store and two houses were built on the south side of Main Street; a blacksmith shop and two stores were located on the north side; and a church was built on Cemetery Hill west of Main Street. In 1902, when Boise became an incorporated city, Chubbucks became its first ward with John Hargrave as its first mayor. In 1907–08 construction began on what would become known as Memorial Park which currently includes a playground, swimming pool, tennis courts (the original court being moved to nearby Valley View Middle School in 1998), picnic pavilion/grounds (originally used for camping out during summertime events such as fairs), amphitheater/lakefront park (now home to SummerFestivals each year), vocational training center (now home to Mountain View High School's alternative education program), municipal building (now home to City Hall) along with other civic buildings including barracks for local police officers until 1924 when they were replaced by their current building at Fifth Avenue and Meridian Streets. In 1916 memorial service for missing World War I veteran John Fenton took place at Memorial Park before he was buried at Phoenix Cemetery east of town square later that year. In 1928 $10 000 was raised towards erection of community hall but no progress was made until 1931 when funds were finally available after incorporation of the town into Ada County Roads Department under new leadership under Commissioner Earl Kesselman Jr.. Work started on Community Hall but stopped due to lack of money again until 1935 when another $10 000 donation came in which allowed work to resume until 1938 when both halls were completed thanks in part to public Works Administration funding A parade honoring veterans occurred every July 3rd since 1940 with military personnel from surrounding towns also attending
