The Caldwell Rifle and Pistol Armory was founded in 1916 by George W. Caldwell and his wife, Lillie. The first guns manufactured at the armory were Winchester Model 1895 rifles. In 1917, Caldwell purchased a small arsenal on the edge of town from John Brougham. In 1929, Caldwell erected a three-story building on the same site that housed his gunsmithing business and firearms distributorship. The armory became known as the "House of Guns" after its success in selling firearms to American soldiers during World War I and World War II.

Over the years, different iterations of the ar15 lower receiver have been developed, as well. Today, there are many different types of ar15 upper receivers available on the market. The origins of the ar 15 upper receiver can be traced back to 1973 when a team at Colt Firearms designed an improved version of their existing .22 LR rifle that featured a new barrel design called the Colt AR-15 Upper Receiver (CORE). This design was later adapted for use with the AR-10 assault rifle platform. From its inception, it was clear that the core function of an AR-15 upper receiver was to allow users to attach various accessories such as optics or lasers. over time, other companies began developing similar designs based off of this initial core concept. These designs would become known as "AR-9" or "AR-10" Upper Receivers due to their similarity in term of overall form and function underneath the covers (see below). In 1979, Blackhawk Arsenal released their own version of an AR-15 style upper receiver which usedMil Photo's Mil Spec aluminum alloy frame/muzzle device combo along with standard milspec dimensions including Picatinny rail mount points for accessories like lasers and optics etc.. This model is also sometimes referred to as Blackhawk Arsenal Upper Receiver #1 or just Blackhawk Arsenal U1A. While still very early in this type of design development cycle it marked a significant advance over contemporaries at least in terms quality & performance department; offering better machining finish on all external parts contrasted against competition products at that time This particular blackhawkerupperreceiver represents one particularly high end product line from blackhawkArsenal which continued into production until around 1990 timeframe

With its growing population, the city began to Outsource many of its services such as plumbing and streetlights to private companies. This led to several lawsuits between the city and private companies, but in 1949 Caldwell incorporation became an official part of the United States government when Congress passed The Organic Act which made Caldwell an official U.S. town

In the early 1900s, the city built a large water system to provide drinking and irrigation water to its residents. It also developed an electrical industry, which helped make Caldwell one of the most important cities in Idaho during that time period. In the 1920s, Caldwell became known as the "Gateway City" due to its location at the entrance into Boise Valley from the north. The city experienced economic decline during World War II, but recovered following the war and has since grown Again into an important political center in southern Idaho.
