The Blackfoot Rifle and Shotgun Museum is a museum in Blacksburg, Idaho, that preserves and displays firearms from the Blackfoot area. The museum was established in 1984 as the Blackfoot Firearms and Ammunition Museum. It moved to its current location in 2006. The museum holds weapons from both Native American and European eras. Gun parts dating back to 1876 are on display. The museum also has a collection of historic ammunition made by local companies. There are several exhibits about gunsmithing, hunting, cooking, self-defense, history, culture and more. In addition to exhibits on guns and ammunition, there is a library with books about blackfeet life and firearms

On January 1, 1892, the Blackfoot Rifle and Pistol Club was formed in Blackfoot, Idaho. The club’s first rifle was a Winchester Model 1894. The club continued to shoot at local fairgrounds until 1898 when they moved to their current site on Willow Creek. Since the early 1900s, the Blackfoot Rifle and Pistol Club has been responsible for many important milestones in gun history. For example, on November 5th of that year they were the first organization in Idaho to adopt a statewide regulation banning open carry of firearms within state borders. In 1909 they became one of the very few organizations in America to award an individual championship trophy for marksmanship competition; this trophy is still extant today and is awarded annually to the best shooter from across all states represented at Nationals (the annual national rifle championships).
