By 1831, Christianity had taken hold at Woodstock and it became an important cultural hub within Georgia society. Attendance at services increased dramatically; by 1830, they had reached 100 people per service! In 1833-34 Gopher Coal Company founder James White purchased 2 acres adjacent to Church Street near present day University Avenue for $200 (this parcel would later be developed into downtown). White named his coal company after himself – Gopher Coal & Coke Company – and began production on November 15th 1833. This marked the beginning of what would become one of Georgia's largest industries with over 1 million tons exported between 1835-1860! During this time period+, music was often used as an sermon starter or moans during prayer meetings or revival meetings because people were not able to attend services regularly due to work or other commitments. One such preacher who utilized music frequently during these times was Increase Mathers aka “Moses” who ministered throughout central Georgiastate until his death in 1865 aged 95 years old! Moses' sermons are still remembered today thanks largely to recordings made by him! As Georgiastate transitioned from slave state into free state following Reconstruction followingthe American Civil War (1865 - 1870), many businesses closed their doors because black Americans no longer wanted employment within their industry citing race discrimination as their reason(s). Many white entrepreneurs decided that moving westward was where they should focus their efforts given that slavery ended there while southern states remained enslaved thereafter making it difficult for blacksTo maintain property ownership within those states whereas northern whites did not experience same level economic privilege despite enjoying de facto freedom under federal protection albeit through various forms of racism
