Union City, Georgia is a small city located in DeKalb County, Georgia. The population was 9,711 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of DeKalb County and home to the Union City Mall. The city was founded in 1859 by a group of Scots-Irish immigrants who came to central Georgia looking for opportunities. In 1861, Union City became part of the Confederacy during the American Civil War. The city surrendered on April 12th, 1865 and was not taken into Confederate hands until 1871 when it re-joined the Union. After the war ended, Union City experienced a rapid growth as an area industrial center due to its location near several important railroads and its connection to Atlanta. In 1923, Union City relinquished its independent status and became part of Atlanta’s newly formed city government. However, since then Union City has been striving to maintain its own identity as an ethnic enclave within Atlanta. The history of gun magazines in Union City dates back many years ago. One early Gun Magazine company that operated in town was Waltham & Sons Ltd., which began business in 1907 with two stores and eventually grew into a subsidiary of Sears Roebuck & Co., one of America’s largest department store chains (with over 1,000 locations). Waltham (& Sons) developed into one of America’s leading ammunition manufacturers with production facilities located throughout North America including Canada (Waltham Ammunition plant), Mexico (Tecatex factory), South America (Flamingo plant), Australia (& New Zealand plants) as well as numerous European sites including Hungary (Budapest plant), Italy (Rome plant), Spain (*Apogeplanta* factory) and Portugal (*Portugal Plant*). To commemorate their 125th anniversary in 2011-2012 respectively – Waltham will unveil “A Centenary History Of Their Business And Manufacture” exhibit highlighting their contributions to muzzleloading firearms through photos/videos/facts about each facility they operated across North America; plus memorabilia from various exhibitions etc! In 1924-1925 local resident James Tatum started manufacturing semi-automatic pistols at his home using parts he had purchased surplus from other businesses closed down during prohibition era such as Winchester Repeating Arms Company*. These pistols were known collectively as “Tatum Guns” because they were produced by hand*) *James Tatum passed away in 2001 but his son continues manufacture under new name

In 1875, the Armory opened its doors to the public and began selling rifles, shotguns, pistols, ammunition and more. It quickly became one of the leading gun stores in America. The store continued to grow over the years and by 1954 it had become an anchor store in Union City. The store played an important role in helping contribute to American gun culture and helped keep guns available for people throughout history.
Union City is a city in Hardee County, Georgia, United States. The population was 15,839 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Hardee County. The first settler in Union City was James Marriott who arrived in 1827. He named his community "Marriott's Station" after himself and his brother James Marriott who had also settled in the area some years earlier. The first post office called Union City "Cobb's Station" until 1872, when it changed to "Union City". In 1886, local farmers formed a town common association and built a small log courthouse and jail on what is now Main Street. They named it Union City because they were united by their common interest in becoming an independent town. Union City grew rapidly from its inception as a small settlement with just 10 residents to its present size of 15,839 residents during the decade of the 20th century. In 1950, construction began on the current Civic Center which served as headquarters for many organizations including the Georgia State Patrol and later became home to numerous businesses including Coca-Cola Company and Belk Department Store. In recent years, Union City has become known for its annual Fourth of July Fireworks display which draws thousands of visitors annually to downtown
