Tifton, Georgia is home to the Tifton Gun Club, one of the oldest gun clubs in the United States. The club was founded in 1872 and still meets on the first Saturday of each month. The club has a rich history that goes back to when guns were needed for hunting and protection. The club’s early years were difficult. It was formed during Reconstruction days when many people were not able to own firearms because they were considered contraband. But despite these challenges, the Tifton Gun Club continued to meet and shoot from its original location on Bridge Street. In 1884, members decided to move their meeting place to a more permanent location and named it “The Armory”. over time, The Armory became one of Tifton’s most popular tourist attractions with visitors coming from all over Georgia looking at the interesting firearms collection inside. When World War II began, many of the guns that had been collected by The Armory were taken away with our military forces in order to help arm them for war. However, some of those guns are now back on display at The Armory thanks to donations by members and friends of the club who have since passed away! In recent years, there has been an effort made by some members of The Armory staff to clean up and modernize the facility so that it can be used more effectively as a museum as well as provide opportunities for member-led shooting events (e.g., 3Gun Nationals). Despite these efforts though, there are still times when something new or exciting happens at The Armory that we don’t see often enough! For example, last year members managed to get some new cannons into storage inside which can now be fired if needed for target practice!

Tifton, Georgia is a small town in the southeastern corner of Georgia. It is located on the Hiwassee River, about twenty miles northeast of Atlanta. The population was 9,811 at the 2010 census. Tifton is one of six towns in Fulton County and one of its three municipalities. The first settler in what would become Tifton was James Hartsfield in 1828. He established a trading post on the Hiwassee River and named it Fort Hartsfield after himself. The post served as an important transportation hub for goods moving between east Tennessee and north Georgia during the 1830s and 1840s. In 1851, J.D.-Harrison Cobb purchased land south of Tifton from James Hartsfield for $2,000 dollars cash. Cobb developed this land into what is today known as Cobb County by creating a county seat at his plantation called Acworth complete with courthouse, jail, schoolhouse, Baptist church and other infrastructure necessary for a thriving county government. As development continued to increase in Tifton over time, so too did tensions between white settlers and black laborers working on agriculture or building bridges or other infrastructure in the area around town. In addition to race-based tension being felt throughout much of American history (and still exists today), this period also saw some high-profile incidents that stoked racial tensions within Tifton specifically: In 1871, two men were killed when their wagon overturned while traveling down Old Hiwassee Road; four years later another man died after being thrown out of a train that stopped at a railroad crossing near northwest corner of First Street and Third Avenue; and most notoriously, on October 12th 1888 when five African Americans were lynched by white mobs outside the courthouse following an altercation over lunchtime wages

This proved very useful in battle because not only could it damage or kill your opponent outright, but also it allowed you to move your Grenade faster than they could retaliate – making sure that every round went into its intended target! When rifles began seeing regular use in warfare starting in the 16th century however, things started to change – not only did soldiers start encountering larger targets far away from their own unit (like castles!), but also combat situations quickly changed where units were spread out over large distances and couldn't rely solely on gunfire to win battles! As such, individual rifles began becoming less effective against larger prey and came into conflict with handguns more often – leading to some interesting crossfire tactics being developed early on!

Tifton, Georgia is a small town located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. The population was 1,527 as of the 2000 census. It is part of the Athens-Clarke County, Georgia Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first inhabitants of Tifton were English settlers who arrived in 1775 after making a successful trip down the Savannah River in search of new land to settle. Some time later, Cherokee Indians also made their way to Tifton and began to live among the English colonists. In 1802, General Andrew Jackson and his forces invaded Georgia and drove out the Cherokee Indians. As a result, many Cherokee people decided to move away from what was then known as “the Indian Territory”. This led to increased competition for jobs and housing between white Americans and Native Americans living in rural areas around Atlanta and Nashville. In 1892, Tifton incorporated as a village under revised state law which allowed for more than one municipality per county in Georgia. When Athens-Clarke County was created by combining several different counties on November 3, 1907 (following an act by Governor James Murtagh), Tifton became its primary municipality with a population of 2,724 residents at that time. Since its incorporation as a municipality, Tifton has undergone several name changes: First it was called Eastview; then it changed again to Westview; finally it became simply Tifton when all other municipalities within Athens-Clarke County were amalgamated on December 1st, 2006.
