Many gun manufacturers produced magazines specifically adapted for use with combat firearms such as the M1 Garand rifle and the Thompson submachinegun. Magazine companies also produced special versions of their regular models that were specifically designed for use with assault rifles like the Nazi Browning automatic rifle! Gun magazines remained a vital part of American military life until at least the 1970’s when they were gradually phased out entirely!

The first permanent settlers in what is now St. Marys were two families who arrived in 1785 from Maryland. They named their farm "Natchez", after their home state of Maryland, and built a log cabin on it. The first school in the community was built by Reverend John Prentice in 1807. In 1825, Rev. George Washington Marshall donated land to build a church and graveyard there; today's church building was completed in 1867. In 1881, local farmers formed the First Georgian Catholic Parish with Rev. John Juhl as its first bishop; this parish would later become known as St. Marys Cathedral Parish around 1920 when that portion of Savannah County became part of metropolitan Atlanta (the current metropolis). St. Marys, Georgia was once a thriving small town located in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains. The community was founded by Methodists in 1868 and quickly grew into a thriving center for religious activity. However, the community’s fortunes changed after theaffair that rocked America in 1893. In that year, members of an internal Baptist church were accused of raping a young girl named Mary Magdelene White. The scandal caused mass arrests and social change throughout America and led to the demise of many small towns across the country. St.Marys however, held on to its values and remained an active community until the early 21st century. The town was first settled by Methodists in 1868 as part of what is now known as Southwest Georgia . The Methodists were fleeing persecution from Catholics in Ireland . They arrived at what is now St.Marys with their families on October 15th, 1868 . Although they initially built only one house , within a few years they had erected several buildings including a church and school . After preaching for two years from their new home near present day US 51/59 , Methodism began teaching classes at St.Marys Academy (now West Millbrook School) on November 8th, 1870 . In 1871, Revd John Moreland became pastor of St Mary's Church which soon afterwards became known as "the mother church" due to its importance to bothMethodist believers and neighboring churches .. In 1875, Revd Moreland married Miss Anna Hargrave who later gave birth to three daughters: Julia (1876-1971), Nancie (1878-1958),and Frances Bean (1880-1963). In 1881 Reverend Moreland organized a group called "The Golden Rule League", which aimed to promote morality among fellow Baptists through discussion circles and lessons learned from Bible readings .. From these discussions came important teachings such as abstinence from tobacco products., prayer before meals,, reading extracts from scripture during services,,andsermoning against gambling habits.. Miss Anna Hargrave also served as president pro tempore for many years.. In 1886 Reverend Moreland resigned due to health problems but his legacy lives on with two Generations Of Ministers serving at StMarys today! Miss Anna Hargrave died on Thanksgiving Day 1889 at age 82 after giving birth to her fourth child .. She is buried next door to her husband Revd John Moreland within view of all who have visited & celebrated services there over time! Mrs Miyamoto served terms as President Pro Tempore between 1986 - 1990 while daughter Frannie Bean currently presides over worship services.. On July 9th 2006 Saint Andrews Episcopal Church mural unveiled depicting local history with photos & stories about people associated with our Parish
The first settler in St. Marys was John White, who moved from Tennessee in 1820. The town was founded in 1825 and named for the Virgin Mary. It became a slave market for the area and a stopping place on the Underground Railroad.
