In addition to its formal name of "St. Mary's", the community also adopts an informal name for itself - "The Gables". This appellation derives from the fact that most of the citizenry live on what were once aristocratic estates which are now less than three years old! According to legend, when Jesus Christ returned from heaven following his crucifixion, he appeared before St.Mary at her convent in Milledgeville, Ga., and ordered her to build him a church there within two weeks (Mark 16:15). After she completed this task within two months (!), he again visited her convent and said: "I have come to give you rest" (John 20:20). From this incident sprang the custom of visiting Sts.Mary's every year on All Hallows' Day - an event which still takes place today! Today many people visit Sts.Mary's as well as other local churches during Holy Week; however services are generally held on Saturday mornings instead of Wednesday nights because Tuesday evenings are usually spent shopping for supplies for services that weekend! baptisms took place here on October 26 1888 with Rev John Madden officiating

Additionally, this new magazine allowed soldiers who carried multiple weapons into battle (such as tanks) to keep them all loaded and ready without having to worry about running out of ammunition. However, despite these advances in magazine design, there remained one problem: how could you reload a weapon when you’re not fighting? To solve this issue, many manufacturers began designing their own versions of existing military rifles such as bolt-action rifles and pump action shotguns which would accept cartridges directly into those guns rather than using some form of intermediary such as a mag or belt clip. As rifle technology evolved over time, so too did magazines’ design; eventually becoming one integral part of most modern firearms designs including pistols and carbines alike!

In 1802, the legislature of Georgia approved a plan to create a new parish in what is now St. Marys County. The parish was named in honor of Saint Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ. The first church on the site, built in 1824, was dedicated by Bishop James C. Moore. The population of St. Marys grew rapidly due to migration from other parts of Georgia and from Kentucky into the area around present-day St. Marys County. In 1848, a large frame church was erected on Cemetery Hill in what is now part of downtown Savannah. In 1871, an addition to the original structure was made which became known as the “ bell tower” because it provided a commanding view over the town square and cemetery below. In 1886, another large addition was made which became known as “The Lady Chapel” after Lady Washington (the wife of President Ulysses S Grant). A fire destroyed much of downtown Savannah in 1906 but did not damage the bell tower or Lady Chapel; however, it caused extensive damage to surrounding buildings including churches and schools that were located on Magazine Street near where later The Constitution Hotel would be built. On July 17th 1912, during World War I, Confederate General Robert E Lee surrendered at Appomattox Court House on April 9th 1865 following his surrender at Bull Run Campaign Headquarters three days earlier; this event marked one-seventh anniversary since Richmond had surrendered control over Petersburg Peninsula to Ulysses S Grant (June 14th 1861). The first St. Marys was founded by the apostles in the 6th century AD. The town became a bishopric in 753, and it was here that St. Mary’s Cross was erected in honor of the mother of Jesus Christ in 1084. The cross is still standing today, and it is one of the most identifiable symbols of this community. In 1570, when Georgia became an independent country, St. Mary’s Abbey was established here as a Catholic convent with the same name as the town.
