Prior to the Revolutionary War, firearms were not typically converted into defensive weapons like they are now. This was because at that time, there was no standardization in how weapons worked. So instead, many different guns would be conversion-built with different attachments that allowed them to fire arrows or bolts instead of firearms pellets or shot. These conversion-builds often included a swivel system on one end so that it could be rotated until it pointed in the direction of the user’s intended target. One such early convertible weapon was an axelock rifle which featured a swivel system on one end so that it could be rotated until it points in whatever direction the user desired (it could point in any direction since axes were not then common). The axelock rifles were very successful during the Revolution but eventually fell out of use because they were not compatible with modern ammunition standards. The first truly standardized gunswivel system was developed by Josiah Morse between 1814 and 1817 while working on his own rifle design called the Morse Rifle Swivel System (MRSS). The MRSS consisted of two parts: a key rod which held onto either side of a rotating drum attached to a stock; and an armature which housed both the drum and key rod assembly. In order for this system to work properly, both components had to rotate simultaneously in opposite directions so that when combined together, they constituted an effective muzzleloader/firearm swivel system!

By 1810, there were over 100 families living in Jacksonville County according to one estimate; by 1830, there were more than 1,000 people living here! The early settlers developed rice plantations near present-day Savannaghy Bayou because they believed that it would be an excellent crop due to its moisture content and long growing season. However, rice production failed to take off until after World War II when increased demand from international markets led to improved farming techniques and larger acreage! In 1819–20, General Andrew Jackson sailed downriver on his way northward during the Mexican–American War (1846–48) when he passed through Atlanta en route to join General Jean Baptiste Lacrosse at Pensacola Alabama; he rested at Fort Jackson on the Savannah River before continuing on his journey northward via Mobile Bayou Bridge into Tennessee Territory.. On July 8th 1819 Jackson signed Executive Order No.–9½” issued following his stay at Fort Jackson authorizing development of Lower Augusta Landing(present day Augusta), which lay just south of present-day downtownSavannah’s limits.. In 1824 Congress appropriated $5,-000 towards improvement of Augusta Landing ..[ Unauthorized erection or occupancy]of any store or building without prior written consent from said owner or occupant thereof shall be punishable by law… The first store opened under this order was “Anson & Son”owned by James Anson whose brother Elijah founded Gadsden Parish School District #2A less than two blocks east of where today's First Avenue meets Constitution Street…. In 1830 government regulation prohibited saloons within 1000 feet of public schools….. When prohibition expired late 1800′s many stores reopened but still face legal issues as some are still open today
