On July 8th, 1949 local resident Arturo Hernandez reported seeing strange objectsflying over his house near Empire Boulevard & Airport Road; he contacted police who investigated with some success but no conclusions were reached until 1951 when USAAF Major Jesse Marcel sighted unidentified flying objects over Mexico City while on duty as Commander-in-Chief USAF European Command Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Forces On October 17th 1947 Majestic Publications Publishing Company published an article entitled "Roswell Incident: A Masterpiece Of Scientific Paranormal Reporting" which featured photos taken by journalist Raymond Fenton Jr., including one which purported to show inhabitants of Roswell being experimented upon by government officials at AFB; this report led to increased interest within the UFO community On December 15th 1947 articles appeared in two national newspapers stating that secret government documents had been recovered from crashed alien spacecrafts which implicated then President Truman's Vice President Henry Wallace as having knowledge about these UFOs On January 20th 1948 The New York Times ran an article alleging that top military personnel were working on developing plans to fly large numbers of aliens back to Earth using advanced technology which included flying saucers
