Pooler, Georgia is a small town in northern Fulton County, Georgia. The population was 6,091 at the 2000 census. It is located on the Chattahoochee River and is the county seat of Pooler County. In 1811, John Pooler founded a trading post on the Chattahoochee River in what is now Pooler County. In 1815, he donated land to make up part of present-day Pooler County. He also donated money to found the first school in Pooler County. In 1865, General Nathan Bedford Forrest invaded Georgia and captured Atlanta; however, George Ayer soon recaptured Atlanta and put down Forrest's rebellion. At this time, John Ponder replaced General Ayer as governor of Georgia and placed poolers into various military units as a way of centralizing power in his hands (Ponder later became president of Coca Cola). In 1892, Theodore Roosevelt moved from New York City to live for two years in nearby Decatur before returning to New York City where he started his own political career. When he returned to America he bought some land near Pooler and established it as Hyde Park Ranch which would become one of his main residences after leaving office. Theodore Roosevelt died at Hyde Park Ranch on April 14th 1904 just four days after giving birth to his only child - Eleanor Roosevelt (1913-1981). Today many people believe that Mrs. Roosevelt's father was actually President Theodore Roosevelt Jr., which would have made her sixteenth president overall if she had been born normal human rather than being artificially generated through surgery by her parents with poor medical data available at the time

In 1813, Jonathan Pooler went into business with James Gadsden and began providing transportation across the Indian River for traders looking to trade with the Cherokee Nation. This led to development of this area as one of the most important trading posts on the River Road. In 1830, John Moultrie became president of Georgia and ordered all government offices be moved from Atlanta toPooler so that more people could be served here. This led to increased business activity at Pooler because it became one of the five government locations in Georgia where citizens could get their services done without having to go away town. In 1865, John Aiken was elected governor of Georgia and he made Pooler one of his favorite places to live because it had become an important stop on his travels throughout the state. Aiken also added several new buildings including a jail and church at Pooler so that it would be more accessible for residents. during this time, many businesses were established at pooler including cotton mills, shoe stores, hotels/motels, groceries etcetera which continues until present day when it is still an important center for commerce in central-eastern GA

Pooler was a town in Cobb County, Georgia. It was incorporated on February 20, 1872. The population was 2,611 at the 2010 census.
