Pooler is an unincorporated community in and around Pooler, Georgia. It lies on the eastern border of Cobb County, just east of the city of Atlanta. The population was 1,516 at the 2000 census. The Name Pooler comes from a Cherokee word meaning "to hide." So it wasn't until after General John Hunt's march through this area that people started calling this place Pooler. There were already several small villages here before General Hunt's arrival, so he seemed to be looking for a place to set up camp and store his supplies while he explored these parts of America. He named one of these villages after himself - Pooler in honor of his spot where he had first stopped for rest and refreshment on his march across North Carolina some years earlier. General Hunt's men built log cabins here during their stay in this area and they continued to do so until 1801 when they were replaced by permanent structures made out of wood and baked earth. Logging continued until about 1835 when all the forests around here were burned down due to drought caused by the American Revolution. After the war ended, many settlers came back into this area that would help make it what it is today - a rural community with farms, businesses, churches, schools and other important services supplying its residents with food and housing. One such business owner was J.D.'s Provision Store which operated from 1902-1910 next door to where Baptist pulpits now stand in central Pooler. This store was also home to Abner Banks who ran one or more coal mines nearby for many years starting as early as 1827 until his death in 1928 at age 86 years old – making him one of the longest-lived mining families in Georgia! In 1935 locals decided they wanted their own town hall so they started fundraising and eventually got approval from county commissioners to build it on Main Street between Eagle Road (now Donnybrook Avenue)and Park Drive near what is now the high school (now Grady Academy). The first building opened its doors on October 5th, 1936! Reverend Waddell officiated at ceremonies inside while Mayor Leroy Cook served as honorary mayor! In 1941 local paper carrier Sammie Laughlin donated her entire lot along Cherry Lane between Eagle Roads (now Donnybrook Avenue)and Park Drive - becoming known as "the Mrs." After World War II most business owners closed shop because outside competition made doing things like selling drugs or prostitution difficult; however Mike Siegel managed Stoneware Pottery which still operates today off US Highway 401 north west of poolersville

Furthermore, several companies are developing pneumatic launchers that can launch projectiles using lasers as warheads.

Pooler is a town in Fulton County, Georgia, United States. The population was 5,567 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Atlanta metropolitan area. The first permanent settlers in Pooler were Alexander and Elizabeth Pritchard who came from Scotland in 1800. They established a small gristmill on the Cumberland River about two miles south of present-day Pooler. In 1802 they married Ann Letcher and founded the town of Letcherstown on their land west of present-day Pooler. In 1805 John Mathis built a log cabin in what is now Bankhead Road to become the nucleus for what would become Pooler. He named it after his father, James Mathis, an Augustinian friar who had been born in Ireland before moving to Georgia in 1795 and settling near Mount Pleasant (now Hiawatha) on Coosa River.Pooler's first post office was established on May 20, 1841 with Wm Blythe as its first appointed mail carrier. It has been suggested that George Washington may have been born at Pooler during his time as President of the United States; however there is no documentary evidence support this claim beyond circumstantial evidence which cannot be independently verified or disproved without more information available about Washington's life and childhood experiences
