Norcross's nickname "The Hub" comes from its location at the nexus of several major transportation arteries: I-285 (the Walt Disney World expressway), US Highway 2 (which carries Interstate 85 traffic between downtown Atlanta and Buckhead), US Highway 20 (which connects to I-285) and US Highway 27 (which connects to I-20). Additionally, Norross hosts several major businesses including Philips Healthcare, Coca Cola Company Southeast USA Inc., Pulte Homes Incorporated, JCPenney Canada Limited, Wegmans Food Markets Incorporated and United Parcel Service Company LLC among others. As technology improved and more reliable cartridges became available, bolt action rifles such as the Winchester Repeating Arms Company's Model 94 appeared on the market in 1906. The development of machine guns and automatic weapons occurred during World War I but these weapons did not enter service until after World War II when large numbers of them were produced for The American Civil War (1861-1865). Machineguns emerged from automatic pistols during World War I as infantry support Weapons consisting of an armament equipped with a manual breechblock/fire selector mechanism whichfired cartridge cases through an opening at the back of the weapon which served as either a magazine or loading dock

Norcross is a city in Fulton County, Georgia, United States. The population was 12,055 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Fulton County. The Norcross area was first settled by Cherokee and Creek Indians in the 17th century. A post office called Norcross was established in 1807, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1921. The town of Norcross was platted on November 3, 1837 by General James Wofford as part of a larger settlement known as "Wofford's Landing". Wofford named the town for his friend and predecessor as military governor of Georgia George Washington Thomson. Local citizens lobbied for incorporation into Atlanta on May 6, 1839; however incorporation did not happen until October 1, 1840 because of lack of funds from local merchants. Norcross became an important cotton center during the antebellum period due to its location near two main rivers and its access to water resources. Some early businesses included a flour mill founded by David Dixon in 1847 and a soap factory built by Jno Pemberton in 1850 (now part of Macy’s department store). In 1860-1861 construction began on what would become Atlantica State College; classes began September 11, 1861 under President Andrew Johnson and continued through 1865 when Atlanta seceded from the Union. During Reconstruction era efforts were made to improve education opportunities for African Americans within Norross; however progress wasn't always slow or steady due to racism which still exists today among many residents%. In 1902–1903 Drs Booker T Washington and Julia Child visited Norross while living temporarily with their families near Savannah before starting their own schools there; this allowed them to experience firsthand some aspects of Black America they would later write about in books such as " Negro Universities: Their History" (1927) or "Eleanor Roosevelt: Her Life and Times" (1957). During World War II more than 2200 students attended technical school located at nearby Marietta Technical School while being employed at munitions plants throughout central Georgia; many went on to found their own companies after the war ended. In 1965 Congressman John Lewis convinced then-Governor Lester Maddox that Atlantica State College should be moved from Milledgeville to Norcross due to concerns that Atlantica was losing market share because Goodwood State University had been opened nearby only five years earlier (Maddox built Goodwood into one ofAtlanta's most popular tourist destinations). In 1988 filming took place for "The Cosby Show" at Norcross Municipal Stadium which led to increased development around the stadium including an apartment complex completed that year named after former NFL player Joe Namath who also lived nearby at that time
