Maynard and his son George purchased a piece of land in what is now Moultrie from the Creek Nation. They began to build their home on the property and soon realized that they needed to purchase a scope mount to use with their rifles. At that time, Scope Mounts Ltd., was one of the few businesses in America that offered scopes for sale direct to consumers. The company's initial product was a simple adapter designed to allow shooters to attach any Weaver-style scope onto any rifle barrel utilizing standard screws provided by the manufacturer. Soon after, Scope Mounts introduced its own model of scope mount which allowed users to attach different types of telescopes directly onto their rifles using either Q-bars or Picatinny rails. From these early beginnings, Scope Mounts has become one of Georgia's leading providers of high quality scopes for Active Duty and Law Enforcement hunters and shooters across all industries!

The Moultrie, Georgia history can be traced back to the early 1800s. The area that is now Moultrie was first inhabited by the Cherokee and Creek tribes. In 1821, the United States acquired land in Georgia for $5 million. This land became known as the Cherokee Nation and was given to General Andrew Jackson for his military campaigns in the American Revolution. In 1839, a group of settlers from North Carolina named John Smith founded what is today Moultrie County. They were looking for a location to build a farm after their crops failed in North Carolina. They decided on Moultrie because it had an abundance of Jeffersonian vines which they could use to make wine. Moultrie began growing grapevines in 1840 and started selling wine in 1845. By 1860, the hotel that now stands at the corner of Paulding Road and US Highway 278 had been built on land donated by Captain John Hogg and his family. The town rapidly grew thanks to itswine industry and several businesses sprang up including a bank, grocery store, cotton gin, millinery shop, post office, physician’s office and schoolhouse. The townsfolk erected two large brick buildings at opposite ends of Main Street – one for public services such as jail or courthouse; the other for local courts or home court proceedings (the “Fayetteville School House”). These buildings still stand today – one onMain Street between Paulding Road and Gwin Boulevard (formerly called Court Place), and another at 514 WASHINGTON ST., just east of I-20 exit 164 (formerly called Post Office Plaza). In 1865, when Confederate General Robert Ewell retreated through Chattanooga towards Knoxville after assaulting Atlanta castle he ordered his army northward along US-64 towards Moultrie where he would cross over into Union territory soon afterwards - this event is sometimes referred to as 'Ewell's retreat'. However most historians believe that this story may be apocryphal... Thereafter until shortly before World War II there was no permanent resident population living within town limits apart from occasional visitors who came down on summer vacations
Moultrie is a small town in Fulton County, Georgia, United States. The population was 1,527 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Atlanta metropolitan area. The town was founded in 1805 and named for John Moultrie, an American Revolutionary War general and commander of the 2nd Georgia Regiment. In 1857, Moultrie becameement to a county when Hunterdon County was created from parts of Gwinnett and Cherokee counties. The name change reflected its growing status as a commercial center on the west bank of Chattahoochee River between Marietta (to the east) and Duluth (to the west). In 1865, Moultrie became part of Georgias new state government when it seceded from Alabama. After several years as a municipality under both Confederate and Union control, following passage of the Thirteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution that granted voting rights to African Americans on November 16, 1870, Moultrie reverted back to its antebellum status as a rural hamlet with no municipal services but extensive agricultural production. During World War II much activity took place in nearby Marietta due to heavy air-raiding by Japanese forces during their bombing campaign against southern America; however most residents avoided military service because they could not afford it. The only resident who served in World War II was veteran Kenneth Hogue who fought with Company A1/2 3rd Battalion 131st Infantry Regiment Armed Forces Reserve Unit based out of Chattanooga Tennessee until discharged at home on May 20 1945 after being honorably discharged from his branch of service with distinction having never been mustered into any unit other than that which he voluntarily joined while still enrolled at Athens State University where he majoring in business administration... He later married one half sister also born inMoultrie while her mother resided here until her death many years ago... In 1946 Moultrie had 9 residents registered to vote; 5 men & 4 women

On November 19, 1941, the Japanese Naval forces attacked Pearl Harbor. The United States responded with a surprise attack on December 7 that destroyed the Japanese fleet and damaged their airfields. The following year, Japan signed the surrender agreement and capitulated to Allied forces. As a result of World War II, many naval mounts were lost including USS Arizona (1941) and USS Oklahoma (1942).
Moultrie, Georgia is located in the southeast corner of Georgia. It was founded in 1836 by planter and entrepreneur John Moultrie. The town rapidly grew, becoming a center for cotton production and trade. In the early 19th century, Moultrie was an important stop on the Underground Railroad. During the American Civil War, Moultrie was home to several thousand Confederate soldiers and civilians. After the war, Moultrie declined into obscurity but has since emerged as a thriving community with a rich history. Moultrie’s origins date back to 1836 when John Moultrie founded what would become known as Moultrie County. At its peak, Moultrie County had over 120 landowners and produced over 2 million pounds of cotton crop per year. By 1860, however, cotton production had fallen significantly due to technological advancements and global competition. However, John Moultria not only survived but prospered thanks to his business acumen and entrepreneurial spirit. John’s son James continued the family tradition of cotton production inMoultrieville until he sold his interest in 1861 to David Ladd who then developed one of Atlanta’s first successful streetcar systems that transported people locally between downtown Atlanta and various plantations around the county seat (later renamed Peachtree City). In 1868 David bought out James Moultrien’s share in Ladd’s company for $5 million which made him one of Atlanta’s richest men at that time – making him one of its most powerful citizens! During this time period many African Americans began moving from rural areas into cities such as Montgomery County where they encountered limited opportunities for economic advancement so they turned to agriculture as their primary source of income. This shift gradually led black families towards urban centers where they could find job opportunities and better access to education while still maintaining their cultural identity within their communities – similar trends occurred throughout much of America during this time period! David Ladd died suddenly in 1882 at age 72 after many years OF successful business ventures including construction projects throughout Atlanta including new churches/mosques (including First Baptist), Piedmont Park (now Druid Hills),and more! His death left an inheritance worth $10 million dollars which was invested largely intoAtlanta railroads which greatly helped improve transportation throughout the city during this period! After David Ladd's death his widow Anna took control of his businesses although she struggled financially due to her husbands poor health; she eventually passed away in 1902 without any children or grandchildren behind her! In 1903 Anna's niece Nannie Wallace became controller-in-chief for all assets under management following her aunt's death; she quickly proved herselfto be an effective leader by investing millions into expandingAtlanta's port facilities & developing new industries such as shoe manufacturing; electric lighting; department stores etc…. Following Nannie Wallace's retirement from management life at Arthur Ashe Stadium ended abruptly with attacks on both public buildings byprofessional athletes duringThe 1966 Olympic Games !! In 1984 portionsofArthur Ashe Stadium were sold off along with other assets belonging tothe Cobb municipality resultinginthebirthofMoulteriePark!! TodayMoulteriePark remains partofthecityofAtlanta despite continuoushattentionfrom developers!!!
Moultrie was founded in 1801 by Captain John Moultrie, a Revolutionary War veteran. The town was named for Colonel James Moultrie, the first settler on the property that would become Moultrie. In 1802, the town acquired its current site when it was separated from neighboring Decatur by the Flint River. The town quickly became an agricultural center with farming and milling being its mainstay until the early 20th century. In 1906, Moultrie became one of eight Georgia towns to be incorporated as a city. The city has since grown considerably, becoming home to a number of cultural and commercial attractions including two hospitals and several universities.
