The revitalization of Moultrie began with the opening of retail shopping malls beginning around 1990 called "Mouthwater" mall located off Interstate 85 between I-85/I-75 exit 138A (McMurray Rd.) and I-285 exit 241B (Broadwalk Rd.). These shopping malls attracted more jobs than traditional manufacturing businesses because they offered easy access to more places to buy items such as clothes and appliances than could be found elsewhere within town limits or near downtown Atlanta (). Today, most activities that occur within town limits take place inside one or more of the retail malls which are home to restaurants and stores selling clothing, home goods such as carpets and hardware, medical supplies including vaccines and surgery tools etc., along with various types of entertainment including movie theaters, bowling alleys/gambling halls/theatres etc., making it an attractive place for people who want something different every day--something that does not happen very often withinAtlanta city limits where most residents live close together for their everyday routines such as going to work or getting groceries Shopping primarily for local foods rather then items made outside Georgia also provides opportunities for donations goods like food banks being set up throughout the year specifically targeting lowincome families

After Reconstruction began in America in 1865, Moultrie again experienced growth with manufacturingandy new homes being built throughout town while small businesses continued to thrive until the late 20th century. Today, much of what once constituted downtown MoultriesHomes are now zoned for use as industrial or office parks; however, some original buildings remain standing including The Masonic Temple which still functions as a commercial building today.

Moultrie experienced significant growth following World War II as a result of its importance as a manufacturing center for munitions production. The post-war period saw rapid development within the community thanks to investments by private individuals and organizations such as Coca Cola Company (which opened up shop in Moultrie in 1947), Lockheed Martin Corporation (which built plants there from 1951 until 1987), and IBM (which opened its first office here in 1957).
