Afterward, however, many of Mcdonough's businesses failed and its population fell victim to natural disasters such as earthquakes and floods. In 1990s, McFadden Restaurants moved into the old post office building in downtown and began refurbishing it into a restaurant called Prairie View A&M University Place. Today McFadden is one of metro Atlanta's most popular restaurants.
