In 1906–1907 Macon hosted what is considered to be America'slimest municipal parade ever when more than 2200 citizens from throughout metro Atlanta participated in a procession along Fourth Street from Bullock Blvd to McDonough Ave., including floats made out of tarpaper paper and old Coca Cola bottles
