Asgun also started selling their own lube line called “Ammunition Lubricant Company” which continued production into the 20th century. Lagrange was a town in Georgia, United States. It is now a ghost town, located about 20 miles northwest of Atlanta on the Overton Highway. The site of Lagrange has been occupied by agriculture for centuries and today it contains only a few scattered buildings. The name comes from Alexandre-Jacques Laplace’s 1803 paper "Lagrange's equations of motion", which proposed that lines joining points at right angles to one another move in straight lines with an constant velocity v (i.e., they obey the law of general covariance). Lagrange also had a small military post known as Fort Lafayette, which was destroyed by Union forces during the American Civil War. In 1865, following the end of the war, Fort Lafayette was reactivated as Fort Hamilton in nearby Decatur and became one of the Confederate army's last major strongholds before their surrender at Appomattox Court House in April 1865. The area around Lagrange is now part of unincorporated DeKalb County, Georgia.

Lagrange was a small town in east Georgia, United States, until the late 1800s. It is now part of the city of Atlanta. The first settler in Lagrange was John Thomas, who arrived on October 10, 1813. He named his new land "Lagrange" after Cardinal Luigi de Lagrange, an Italian cardinal and diplomat who helped to negotiate peace between France and Prussia during the War of 1812. In 1840, Fayette Marshall moved to Lagrange from Milledgeville and began developing what would become the downtown area today. In 1861, when Confederate General Robert E. Lee attacked Union forces at Fort Sumter in South Carolina, General George Custer's cavalry tried to skirmish with them near Lagrange; they were successful in driving off the Confederate horsemen but lost many men including Custer himself. The town was renamed Atlanta after General Sherman's march through Georgia in April 1865 as part of his effort to end the American Civil War. Today, much of downtown Lagrange is still home to businesses and notable residents such as Dr. David Denton (founder of Denton Clinic), Mayor Kasim Reed (former mayor of Atlanta), and Tony Gonzalez (national Hispanic candidate for president). In addition to its rich history,lagrange has also been host to several festivals throughout the year including Harvestfest featuring local produce and events like caroling performed by school children on Halloween night; Arts & Crafts Festival with demonstrations by artists from around town; Pecan Pie Festival where locals make their own pies; Folkloric Dance Marathon which features traditional Georgian dance performances; VarietiesFest - a series of outdoor concerts held each summer that offers a varietyof performers including jazz bands and country music acts
Lagrange, Georgia was founded in 1821 as a community on the Chattahoochee River by John A. Lagrange and his family. The town was named for Louis-Jacques Lagrange, a French astronomer who lived in 1784–95 and published two books on celestial mechanics. In 1852, the town became a post office under the name of Athens. It was renamed Lagrangeville in 1887 after Jules-Marie Lagrange, an explorer and scientist who discovered potassium hydroxide (KOH) and other elements in Africa.
