They started manufacturing firearms here as well as ammunition for both civilian and military use. After a few years of production, they merged with George Wesson Firearms Company to form Winchester-Wesson Corporation. This company continued making firearms until 1971 when it merged with Colt Corporation to form Colt-Winchester Corporation (CW). CW remains the largest provider of ammo products in America today. Many different types of ammo are produced today including rifle rounds such as 5mm NATO (.308 Win), .223 Remington (30-06), 9mm Luger (.45 ACP) and .357 Magnum cartridges; shotgun rounds such as 12 gauge shotgun shells such as birdshot or buckshot; pistol rounds such as 9mm Parabellum (P09) rounds;and armor piercing rounds like 7x57 mm NATO (.338 Lapua Magnum) round created for use against armored vehicles or personnel carriers

Lagrange is a town located in McIntosh County, Georgia. It was founded in 1819 by Captain John Lagrange and his wife Martha. The town was named for General Lafayette, who died in at the battle of Valmy in 1792.
Lagrange is a city in Worth County, Georgia, United States. The population was 2,569 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Worth County. Lagrange was founded by General James H. Lagrange on May 10, 1879. At that time it was known as "The Junction" because of its location on the junction of two routes leading to Chattanooga and Atlanta. The town originally consisted of four houses and two lots which were donated to Lagrange by his father-in-law, Colonel John Waddell. On December 12, 1888, Lagrange had its first election as a town under the new Constitution of Georgia which went into effect that day. On January 1, 1889, it became an incorporated city and was named for General James H. Lagrange with a change from "The Junction" to "Lagrange City". In 1895 the railroad reached LAGRANGE CITY and started passenger service between LAGRANGE CITY and Tullahoma (now Chattanooga). In 1916 construction began on what would become the world's largest municipally owned airport; today's International Airport located just east of downtown Lagrange City in what used to be agricultural land adjacent to present day Interstate 572/Highway 26/Georgia State Route 259

Lagrange is a town in DeKalb County, Georgia, United States. The population was 568 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Atlanta metropolitan area. The name "Lagrange" comes from the French word "lague" meaning to lead or drive; and "Ranges" meaning hills or mountains. In early history, this area was dominated by Cherokee and Creek Indians. European exploration of what is now DeKalb County began in 1764 when Captain James Cook charted the area as part of his explorations along the Savannah River. He named it New Georgia after King George III of Great Britain who had granted him land in that region in 1763 as recompense for his help during the America's War (1778-81). In 1802, Andrew Jackson was elected president and reelected twice with majorities larger than those received by either John Quincy Adams or Martin Van Buren–a sign that partisan politics were changing in America. On July 6, 1802, Jackson signed into law an act which created Hawkins County within DeKalb County and gave its seat to Lagrange on a creek called Panther Creek located about two miles east of present day Lagrange on I-85 between Roswell and Alpharetta. The new county courthouse was built near where current day Interstate 85 crosses Panther Creek just west of town limits. The first post office opened in Lagrange on November 1, 1892 with Lagerie as its name because mail service did not start until April 1st 1893 In 1905-1906 a new school building was erected at present day Main Street corner with Old High School property across from it which served as both schools until 1954 when they merged into one entity known today as Gwinnett County Schools . Mrs. Annie Spriggs donated land at what is now Second Avenue and Park Drive for a public high school which opened October 15th 1906 also serving as our present day main campus . Mrs. Spriggs also donated money to allow us to build our current football stadium which opened September 27th 1970………..Lagrange has always been home to many people who have made significant contributions to our community including Mr., education Dr., business owners etc…
