The Kingsland Rifle and Pistol Club was organized on February 9, 1882 by members of the King's County Rifle Association. The club met at the home of J.M. Shafer to discuss a plan for organizing a rifle and pistol society in the county. On May 12, 1882, the club held its first meeting with Wm. Henson as president and others in attendance. On October 15, 1882, the club organized itself into two sections called "A" and "B." In 1889, A section merged with B section to form C section which continued to exist until 1895 when it merged with G section (later renamed Psection) In 1914-15 there was an attempt by some members of Psection to re-establish themselves as an individual organization separate from Kingsland Rifle and Pistol Club but this failed Since World War II there has been no significant activity at Kingsland Rifle & Pistol Club
Kingsland is a town in Fulton County, Georgia, United States. The population was 3,527 at the 2010 census. It lies on the north border of Fulton County and is bordered by Gainesville to the west and Bartow to the south. Kingsland was founded by General James Kingsbury in 1822 as a small farming community on what is now King's Lane. In 1828, Kingsbury bought 8,000 acres (3 km2) of land east of Athens from John Ross for $8 per acre ($/km²). From this new ranching territory, Kingsbury developed a profitable agricultural industry that supported his numerous family businesses until the early 21st century. Kingsland has been home to several notable Georgians: Governor Jefferson Davis (1831-1865), General Israel Putnam (1795-1875), Senator Thomas Hart Benton (1863-1941), and Congressman Tip O'Neill (1965-2003). He also served as President George H.W. Bush’s Ambassador to Japan from 1993 through 1997; he was reelected unopposed in 1998 and 2002 despite being term limited under U.S. law at that time

Kingsland, Georgia is a small town in north-central Fulton County, Georgia. The population was 5,868 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Atlanta metropolitan area. Kingsland was founded in 1810 by Captain John Kingsbury and his family as a trading post on the Chattahoochee River. In 1828, it became the county seat of Fulton County and remains that today. The first courthouse in Kingsland was built in 1852 and replaced an earlier structure that had burned down. The present courthouse also served as the county jail from 1857 to 1889. John Fords Coca-Cola plant began production in Kingsland in 1912 and continues to operate today. The Kingsland Arena which seated 3,000 people opened in 1951 and has been used for various events including the Olympic Games four times since then. In 2002, a new $48 million development called Westgate Village was completed adjacent to Interstate 285 across from the gymnasium at Kingsland High School which will house a mix of housing, retail shops, restaurants and movie theaters along with public transportation links to downtown Atlanta.
Kingsland was founded in 1851 by George Washington Carver. The town is named for King George, the first king of Georgia. The town grew rapidly and soon had a population of over 1,000 people. In 1871, Kingsland became the county seat of Cobb County.
