Kingsland, Georgia is a small town in Cobb County, Georgia. The population was 2,591 as of the 2010 census. It is part of the Atlanta metropolitan area. Kingsland was founded in 1868 by Col. John Moultrie and his family after they left their previous home in Marietta,Georgia. The town's name comes from King George III of the United Kingdom who had been born there in 1765. The first post office was established in 1876 and the village had a population of just over 100 people by 1900. In 1907 Kingsland became an incorporated municipality with a population of 575 residents. In 1936, Kingsland became one of the townships within Cobb County when it was organized and its boundaries were revised to include portions of Johns Creek and Druid Hills neighborhoods outside Cobb County proper. In 1972, when Cobb County merged with Fulton County, Kingsland became part of that new county as well and has since experienced heavy growth due to its location within select areas for high-technology industry and education within Fulton/Fulton County limits (including downtown Atlanta). The community currently has a population exceeding 3,000 residents which includes many professionals working at various high-tech companies located throughout metro Atlanta including: Google+, Apple Inc., Lockheed Martin Space Systems Co., Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co., Northrop Grumman Cyclone Defense Team & Boeing Co.. As one such technological center, Kingsland also possesses some unique aspects that set it apart from other communities located nearby like Alpharetta or Duluth; both have smaller populations but higher levels of technology industry employment concentration while also remaining relatively small villages with close-knit social networks enjoyed by their residents alike – something that may be lost on those living near larger cities where technology is omnipresent but where social life often takes on an impersonal form thanks to developments such as LinkedIn or Facebook MessengerBird etc.).

Kingsland is a small town in Georgia, located about 20 miles northeast of Atlanta. The community was founded in 1864 by General John Kingsbury and his family. Kingstown is named for the original Kingsbury home, which still stands today. Kingstown initially consisted of only a few homes and a business district. However, over time, the community grew and prospered based on its agricultural production, manufacturing industry, and light retailing presence. In recent decades, the town has become known as an important center for cultural diversity and education within the region. The history of Kingsland begins with General John Kingsbury who arrived in Georgia in 1832 from Liverpool, England with his wife Sarah and four children. After years of hard work farming land near Augusta he was able to purchase 3 square miles (8 km2) of land east of downtown Savannah for $1 per acre (0.50 hectare). This property became known as Kingstown after General John's son-in-law Captain James Fenton purchased it in 1864 from Colonel Thomas Wainwright for $5 per acre (1 hectare). Kingstown quickly grew due to its agricultural production which included cotton farming and poultry operations until World War II when the industry declined because of mechanization. However, heavy industries have since returned to Kingsland thanks to its location proximate to I-85/I-95 corridor highway development including petrochemical plants operated by Shell Chemical Company from 1990-2005; Alliant Techsystems’ Peachtree County facility; Sunbeam Electric Cooperative’s Decatur plant; CSC Group’s Triana plant; IBM’s mainframe facilities at nearby Alpharetta; Coca Cola Refreshments plant at Clairmount Road & Old Milton Parkway East Subdivision Headquarters Facility - all located within 5 miles (8 km) or less than 10 minutes' drive of Kingstown via I-985/I-95 Corridor Highway Development Authority transportation projects administered by MARTA Rail System under various nameplates such as "Chase Field", "Marietta Mall", "Pinellas Avenue" & "Triana". Today, Kingstonians enjoy access to world class educational institutions such as Duke University through MARTA rail services while keeping close touch with their Georgian roots through art exhibits held throughout the year at local galleries located throughout town including Pritchett Gallery & Museum adjacent to Marietta Mall and The Gadsden Times Building next door to Chastain Park Zoo also hosting events throughout the year including farm tours during summer months that bring families closer together around local food plots while visiting historical sites like Fort Stewart National Military Park just outside town limits
Kingston was founded in 1733 by George Washington as a trading post on the Chattahoochee River. The town grew rapidly and by 1809 had become a principal market for agricultural goods coming down the river from Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee. In 1837, Kingston became an incorporated city. It was the capital of the Confederate States of America during the American Civil War and was sacked by Union troops in 1865.
