Kennesaw is a city in and the county seat of Fulton County, Georgia, United States. The population was 382,631 at the 2010 census. Kennesaw is located on the north bank of the Chattahoochee River between Atlanta and Savannah. It is bordered by Dunwoody to the east, Sandy Springs to the south, Coffeeville to the west, andDecatur to the northwest. The first permanent settler in what became Kennesaw was James Robertson in 1793. The town site was laid out by John Todd in 1802 as part of a plan for creating a new county courthouse district. When Cobb County was created in 1811 it included all present-day Fulton County except one small corner which went to Marietta. In 1823 Kennesaw became an incorporated village. However, it remained an unincorporated community until its incorporation as a city on July 1, 1907. The city's name came from General Nathan Bedford Forrest who named it after his friend General Robert Ewell (1786-1868), commander of Confederate forces duringthe American Civil War (1861- 1865). Forrest had been elected Ulysses S Grant's running mate on November 3rd 1860 but died two days before inauguration day due to yellow fever pandemic that had swept through America at that time; this made George Washington Governor of Georgia instead . Forrest's widow decided to give her husband's old battlefield estate – now known as Kennesaw Manor – back to Ewell's heirs as compensation for their losses during war years. Today much interest remains around downtown where General Forrest Square still offers public accessto items such as cannons and battle flags from his time serving in the Confederate Army

The first effective way to protect oneself from projectiles fired at high speed was with a piece of leather armor called a greased cartilage patch. The patches were made out of thin pieces of leather stretched over an open area on the chest or shoulder where exposure to wind and rain was likely to occur. Other protective devices used during this time consisted of bandages, cloth bags filled with straw, finally helmets made from animal hair and feathers which acted as both a head covering and dust coverings while firing. As breechloading firearms became more common, it became necessary to find another means for protecting shooters from projectiles flying past them at high speed. A method known as “flying shot” was developed by Safe Gunsmiths Company in 1892. This system involved using pint-sized explosive charges placed just beyond the shooter's line of fire so that when a projectile impacts against one such charge, it causes an excellent explosion that destroys any object within range
To date, the shooting protection history of many firearms has been patchy at best. Many manufacturers have issued limited or no recalls for their products in the aftermath of mass shootings, leaving shooters largely unaware of potential issues with their firearms.
Kennesaw, Georgia is a small town located in Cobb County, Georgia. The population was 11,403 at the 2010 census. Kennesaw is part of the Atlanta metropolitan area. Kennesaw was founded by General John Custer in 1836 as a post on the Chattahoochee River and became an important center for fur trade and cotton production. The town was destroyed by Union forces during the Civil War and later rebuilt following Reconstruction. In the late 1800s, Kennesaw developed into an agricultural center with soils rich in phosphorous and sand which made it an ideal location for growing crops such as cotton, corn, soybeans, hay, potatoes and wheat. The city of Kennesaw experienced rapid growth during World War II as servicemen from nearby Rome served in the army and navy there. The city also hosted rallies for Pearl Harbor Day (a day commemorating Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor) until 1945 when Japan surrendered. After World War II ended, Kennesaw continued to grow as a result of new businesses established in the community such as textile mills and chemical plants. Today, the economy of Kennesaw is based primarily on services provided by local businesses including education, health care, law enforcement and government contracting
Kennesaw is located in Cobb County, Georgia. The first white person to live here was James Kennesaw, who came over in 1802. Kennesaw was named for General John C. George, who fought in the American Civil War. It was founded as a settlement by three brothers in 1845. In 1865, it became the capital of Georgia and continued to be so until its statehood in 1917.
